Japanparts.com Orders to OZ

Thought I'd give a "Heads Up" that we are now accepting AUS$ if you are paying us by PAYPAL; our site will calculate all pricing in $OZ, including freight to destination

We ship 6 days a week to Australia; we also give RX8 Club members a 10% Discount off our website Parts pricing

Here's how Japanparts.com Site works:

Find a Part you want and click on "Conversion" next to the Yen price

Choose: Australian $ from the dropdown menu that appears, and then hit "refresh" in your web browser

**All pricing will now be displayed in Australian dollars at the prevailing x-change rate**

To make a quote ( + get RX8Club Discount ):

Add parts to the shopping cart by clicking on the shopping cart icon next to the Part

Choose: destination for delivery: OCEANIA/AUSTRALIA/CITY ( "Other" if your City isn't on the list )

Choose: payment method: ( PAYPAL/Card/Bank transfer )

**This will give you a total to destination ( + there's no obligation to buy )***

Happy with the Price? Put: "RX8CLUBDISC" in the comments on our online Order form + our Staff will email you back with a Discounted total ( 10% Off our parts pricing )

Individual shipments under AUS$1,000 don't attract Import Tax ( so we are told )

PM me to followup

best

Thanks Graham, good info. Do you know how long roughly the shipment take to reach Oz?

Koji posted mine on Sept 30, and should arrive today but the postman is too lazy to deliver. So it is less than a week. I have had 3 day EMS delivery books and stuff are much quicker.

Love order from Japan in general.

Small item under $1000 will not be noticed by the custom.

Graham thanks for looking after us while our dollars are slipping

As Takahashi has posted: turnaround can be as little as 3 days to your door from Japan by EMS post, we could get your Order Monday and you have the Part Wednesday of the same week at your door in Melbourne

**Every Part on our Japanparts Site has a delivery ETA, or "ASK" as part of the Parts description**

However: Typically, we quote "10-15 days" for all In-Stock Parts, + 99% of the time we achieve better than that turnaround ( we track all outgoing freight + keep monthly statistics )

The Japanparts Team always let you know "how much + how soon" before you commit to buying, we don't like to disappoint anyone

If you buy something big, like a Body Kit, that can be sent Surface shipment ( to Port of Sydney, for EG ) shipment can take 6-8 weeks

Again, we will confirm delivery dates with the manufacturer + shipping schedules with the Carriers, so you will know "how much + how soon" BEFORE you buy anything from us, we literally do 100's of quotes like this a day

We send surface freight to OZ every 7-10 days, and Airfreight/Post 6 days a week

Hope that helps!

Best

Further proof that OZ is too closely economically aligned with the Yoo-Ess-Eh
Wherever their $ goes, so will yours

Straight down the gurgler is my bet.

Look at it this way, once $ bills get cheap enough, you'll be able to burn these to keep warm ( ! )

No Worries, Mate

Just remember that its totall shipping price, not just parts price that has to be < $1000 AUD.

As Taka said, thanks for the great service.

Welcome, and just to help again, its shipping price, add your (10%) Duty then add GST, so a $1000 shipped value becomes, $1000 + $100 + $110 = $1210.

Cheers

Well. The Oz$ buys only 74 Yen. That has to come into factor as the $1000 comes to a value of 74000 Yen now.

Graham could you put the invoice of my next shipment in AUD$ instead of Yen. I did pay you in AUD$ (true to the fact). I got in at 88Yen before the big fall last week :yahoo:

pretty sure they calculate AUD value on the treasury book rate for the invoice date. Could be wrong though.

You are prob right... I was shown a list of them at custom during one of my first purchase with Japanparts.com - that was a big order though . I remember they were struts and sway bars.

Taka;
Customs will want to see an Invoice in JPY/Yen and will use the x-change rate *they've* calculated, based on ( or around ) the date you ordered the Parts

Their Rules, not ours, even tho' we may very well have been paid in AUS$ ( typically through PAYPAL ) we must supply invoices in JPY/Yen

Just so y'know

Best!

Yep, was 101JPY = 1.00 AUS$ back in August, at the current rate of decline $$ will soon cost more to print than they're worth

We're still doing a lot of business to OZ, doesn't seem to be making any difference to us ( tho' you would think it would )

Hmm, all will improve after the US elections

No problem Glen, as long as the invoice date is the day that AUD$ was at 88yen. So it is still cool. We just need to state the truth.

I sound like a genius ordering a few parts before the fall
