Youhave to bring your own lunch .(CHEAPSKATES).
Loose comfortable clothing and sensible footwear.

Onlydrivers who have confirmed booking for the course will be permitted to remain at the venue, ie no passengers, children , spectators, partners, onlookers or friends .(strict bastards)
Once i have been and survived the course i will give you further input .

I'm in vic so i guess it will be help at sandown.
I've heard rumours that they disable abs brakes and make you dodge witched hats in the wet and so on, most likely hitting them which i doubt my car will be doing. I will however take hot laps around the track!

Got too much work on this month to take a day off... so looks like it will be October or November for me.

Can't wait. It is stupid how no one can come to watch. I love going to Queensland Raceway and being able to "get close to it". They might want to stop people putting a stopwatch on us
Would like to better my PB :p
Pity it isn't a Wednesday - probly a Test'n'Tune on at the Willowbank drag strip next door that night.
Cheers,
Hymee.
PS - It is a little bit further on past Amberley.

Guys,
I have done the murcotts courses...
The basic one is as above, all within the speed limits, wet roads and brake-swerve-recover type excercises. Very useful although the RX-8 will romp it in and unless you're totally inept!
The other course that is WAAAAAAAY more fun is the High Speed Motorsport Course.
Dollar per lap, this is the cheapest way of getting track time, and is made all the better by having a race-driver instruct you.
Murcotts do Sandown and Bowe does Winton... I've done both, both great tracks and a blast having people like Paul Stokell drive you round the track in your own car then talking you through getting the most out of your car.
When I have my **** together and finally get my car this is the first thing I'm going to do again (after run-in of course!!!!)

You wouldn't be from Melbourne would you? If so your story has become a bit of a legend here. "The man who let the 8 get away"
If you are the same one - I saw your original order very briefly before it went to the new owner.
I hope you sort it out soon. Its worth the wait.
Cheers, Stoli

Oohhhh...
that makes me feel sick...
Thing is, I had the money when I ordered, I had the money when it was due, I had the money for the delivery date when they changed the date but by the time it actually arrived it was JUST THE WRONG TIME!!!!
Arrgh... spoke to my dealer today, also had to pass up one in the next shipment, so probably looking at January...

hehe...
7kw at a minimum... have been speaking to some rotary shops around Melbourne, they can't wait to get their hands on a renesis and wring another 15-20kw out of it just on the basics.
People seem to forget (in the US forums) that the power output that the manufacturer arrives at is a compromise between adequate performance and NVH... (noise vibration harshness).
So, if you're happy to live with worse NVH there's stuff to be done... (a bit like manufacturers stating that 28psi in tyres is the "best" - not true in terms of performance and handling but is the compromise so the NVH stays low).
So anyway... freer exhaust - intake and some ECU addon/replacement fuel/air remap is expected to have quite an impact!
But... certainly wouldn't do anything that would harm my warranty...

ricdanger,
It is you.....wow. I remember you asking now about Fig in another thread.
Sorry about that.
You must live close by. Anytime you want a drive, drop me a line and we'll go for a spin, if that helps. Then again it may just make it worse. Oh well the offer is there.
Cheers, Stoli
