Just Installed Hymees Cat Back Exhaust

And the result is EXCELLENT!

"A very sporty note that is no where obtrusive to the driver but only exhilirates the Rotary driving experience"

That is my write up for it and I'm sticking with it!

We are very lucky to have someone like Hymee who can deliver superb quality aftermarket parts at only a fraction of the cost of the so called "Name Brands".

Hymee, take a bow, you have done it again!

Joe

2 words:

F@ck'n awsome! :p

Everybody who has heard it or driven it is totally impressed. Even dyed in the wool V8 owners. LYTNING drove my car for about 100km on Sunday (He has an 11 second "everyday" street car). Apart from feeling the RX-8 "needed 100 more HP" he was totally impressed. We reminded him his SS was down 100HP before he started his mods :p

Taka - have you heard the clips?

JoeB - Thanks for those kind words! I don't think you can beat a happy customer as a good reference!

Cheers,
Hymee.

Not fair, I am only half as far away from Brisbane as JoeB...just another example of discrimination against the bush. (Adopts petulant child tone.)

BTW premium fuel hit 109.9 cents in town today.

Sorry - Posted at the same place at the same time...

Is that for just "premium" or the good stuff (98RON Ultimate/Optimax)??

Cheers,
Hymee.

Lock and Load is trying to "arrange" to have one fitted to his car for his trip to Melbourne soon.

Sounds

Start and Idle with a small throttle blip (521KB)

Short drive with windows down (738KB)

Start, bigger throttle blips, 1st gear drive by (917KB)

Best to "Save As..." them to your hard drive.

Raw recordings, converted to MP3 format. No editing done to tart them up.

Of course they sound better in the flesh :D

I should also do a drive by at speed at WOT, high RPM. :D

Someone might grap one at Wakefield - that would be a great opportunity.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Really L&L you are coming down to Melbourne with your yellow car!? That is Great!!

Am I interpreting that ok that it is about 3ps gain at the wheel with your exhaust...?

Why it is only 130-140 ps at the wheels? I guess it is the dyno problem with the 8. So real life at crank will be owesome?

I love the clip you supplied

I am sucking myself in am I? :D

That hurts! I'm now running regular unleaded in my RX-8, for that very reason. Have been for about 2000km now. There are plenty of guys in the States doing this also, and a search of the forum will reveal why many think premium in a rotary is a waste of money.

I can happily report that my car runs, sounds and performs exactly the same on regular unleaded as it does on premium. Food for thought....
