Ring around or better still fax all the dealer stating your readiness to sign on the dotted line for the RX8 .

STATE THE COLOUR AND COMBINATION YOU WANT ONCE YOU established availability haggle for the price dealers have a 10 % MARGIN ON THE CAR .

Dealers in the less affluent areas do better deals , youre car can be serviced by any dealer irrespective of were you purchased .

Also haggle for extras carpets , spoiler mud flaps etc.

cheers

I want to followup my comment by adding that the prices from the guy who runs carbroker.com.au is dependant on where you are willing to go. In my area I was able to get everything I wanted for 4K cheaper than RRP.

Aside from that, if you are willing to do the leg work and dont mind haggling (which I hate) then IMHO, what Lock & Load said is the best advise you can get.

Thanks All

At the mo, I have in mind a base model RX-8 in red. Leather pack could be an option but will depend on $$$. I have trade-in(s) to contend with. At the end of the day, it all depends on changeover.

Cheers

If you haven't already, go to carpoint.com.au and do an honest eval of your cars worth, both private and dealer...that should help give you and idea...

Sell your car privately then go shopping , whatever the dealer gives you he has to on sell your car for a profit , he wont do any deals on your RX8 .on a trade in

Also contact Nujooc( paul ) from the forum he sells Mazdas in Sydney $500.00 cost of sending car by train to melbourne .02 93188800 or 0418 385 405

cheers

And if you get the deal you want from Nojooc, fly up to Sydney and drive your car home. I guarantee it's much more fun than having it delivered on the train.

:p :p :p

Ha Ha...I reckon there would be nothing more frustrating than having an RX-8 that I have to hold back on for 1000kms

But at least you would get the entire run in period over and done with. Fly up on a Friday morning, drive back Friday and first service on the Saturday : o)
