Looking for new tyres!

Andrew, it might be a good idea to ship the tyres from Melbourne but I am afraid the local tyre place might hit me with $40 - $50 a tyre to fit and balance them (and dispose of the old tires). By then, the savings might come up nought or I end up worse off.

This is what I've researched so far (price is per corner, balanced and fitted)
225/45/18
Bridgestone Adrenalins - $341
235/40/18
Toyo Proxes 4 - $238
Toyo T1-R - $329
Bridgestone Adrenalins - $324
Yokohama A10B - $250
Dunlop 3000A - $360
Goodyear Eagle F1 - $380
Falken 452 - $300
Pirelli PZeroNero - $600
Nankang - $188
Would be good to get some recommendation since I have no clue what runs well on the RX8 (This is my 2nd week of owning it and it is not a daily drive)
Basically I want something that is close to Adrenalins but under $300 per corner in Sydney

... Toyo Proxies will last a long time
... Nankangs will last longer
... Quality OK
... Quality not so OK
However, if a tyre place down here is willing to let Bridgestone Adrenalins (225/45/18) go for $265 a corner ...
... their cost price is obviously a lot less than that, so the places you're going to are obviously ripping you off!
Failing that, if you're looking at cheap tyres which are good, there's a brand called Maxxis and I think the tyre model is MAV1 (don't quote me on that though). You should be able to find those around for $200 a tyre.

He was wearin' Nankang's... No suprises there.
Last time I checked, they were at the $120 mark.
Drew, thousands on the car, but Nankang's for the track in Melbourne...crazy man lol.

Cromax, I am not sure where else to look if Bridgestone Tyre Centre themselves are the one putting those prices for the RE001s
Might give them a call again to ask about the difference in prices between the 2 states
It is ridiculuous if I have to pay that amount of money
Would you mind PM-ing me the contact details of the tyre shop that offers the RE001s for $265 a corner?

All the Bridgestone Tyre Centres in Sydney can only do me $336 for 225/45/R18 Adrenalins.
This is becoming highly frustrating. They are pretty sure that the guys in BTC Cheltenham, Victoria got the wrong tyres for that price of $265.
Anyone else in Sydney that I can approach to?
I've tried Bob Jane, Jobsons and Payless Tyres too.

That's the same story Derrimut gave me. It's a lie ... they're hu
I'd recommend them, but I wouldn't pay that much! That's extortion!
Look at Bob Jane's specials ... they have a few that may interest you.

I won't go to bridgestone tyre centre as they are most of the time more expensive (at least on my personal experience) then other tyre shop (bob jane, tyrepower, etc.). Have you tried http://www.carbonblack.com.au yet? I personally haven't , and I don't know anyone who has... so... would be good if you're the first one to try hahaha...

On JDMST, one of the guys with an R34 GTT was driving on the M4 when suddenly his tyre popped and sent him spinning into a barricade.

Andy,
You might wanna try:
AAA Tyre Factory in Fairfield. (Try search sydneypinkpages.com.au for the contact)
I got a set of Goodyear GS-D3 eagle f1's in 245/40/18 for $270 each as they had them in bulk.
Perhaps you might get lucky.
