Can't say I blame Kall for shootin' thru. It was always on the cards the way you dudes carried on. A little common sense goes a long way.
Hopefully she will return. If she does, a little less innuendo would be prudent, I would suggest.

Hi every1,
Think a few misunderstandings have occured...
Firstly thanks Gomi for standing up for me
However, am not upset wit AMG or EZZY. I get along wit them both pretty well, and I honestly believe they make harmless jokes with me (Unlike someone else if u know who I mean 
whoz no longer here).
My reasons for getting pissed off are a few. I left the other forum because Choppy said some things at the Nats about me and I dont see why I should tolerate such crap, (specially when I thought him and I were friends). Fair few remarks on here have been made to me, if you guys dont like how I express myself, and try to share a happy funloving day with you's then I will tone it down, which is what I'm doing now.
I am "gone" in a sense that ive got so much work that I need to go do.. that was my intention by the avatar, however also directed to certain people and they know who they are because I am quite sure they are happy to not really hear from me on here as often. I have nothin against the Melbourne guys, love them all. And please spare me the pm's telling me that I shouldnt have made this post.

A widespread of ages and cultures ( and i dont mean greek) are clashing.
One common interest...cars .....brings together a vast array of people who may not normally associate in everyday life.
being involved in motorsport and car clubs for over 10 years I have never come across people that cant get along with such a common interest.
I dare say on this forum some people are taking jokes a bit too personally and seriously, sure some can go over the top but a polite PM can fix that problem, other wise best to grin and bear it and enjoy this common link we all have.

Well I'm a little unsure as to whether I'm a "certain person" or not but I'm not a Melbourne person and since you don't want any PM's in respect of your post, I'll say it here:I'm sorry if I've been the cause of any angst and certainly have no beef with you or any desire not to hear from you. I've always tried to be upfront with my views for what they're worth and would be sorry to see you disappear through a misunderstanding.

Possibly against my better judgement, I'll chime in on this one.
Before I start:
First, as has been said before on this and other forums, there is always a danger in the way a simple post, as a mode of communication, might be (mis)interpreted by others. The (partial) solution is to use smilies to convey the feeling expressed by the post or certain parts of it, but that by no means excuses anyone from the normal rules of human communication (and on the subject of smilies, we've suddenly gone from famine to feast
) and now, getting the right one in the right place is the challenge (at least for me 
...and they seem to shift around )
Secondly, I do get the ***** with a lot of off-topic stuff appearing in threads on a subject that I am interested in, and have said so, probably giving me a reputation. So be it
What ***** me even more is that I am at least as susceptible to go off topic as anyone else 
so apart from this, I'll try to shut up 
This forum is difficult for us because we have limited capabilities to create new 'lounge-style' off topic crap discussion areas. I guess the solution is, as has been happening, to simply start "OT:...." threads. We need to remember, though, that these are public conversations which others watch and may participate in. If people are not happy with that there are a variety of other technologies that may be more suitable.
Finally, I have to say I feel a bit hurt over Kalli's departure from the other forum, where I have mod duties, mainly because at time she departed I was trying to address her issues of concern and received a less than polite PM for my troubles. So, by all means use PMs to clarify meaning, but remember, these do not absolve anyone from making their best efforts to communicate clearly and respectfully.

I agree that due to the nature of written communication, some things said in jest can sometimes come out as plain insulting. I work with 80 hardcore feminists so I find myself having to defend myself because of poorly executed jokes within emails and stuff. Wish we had smilies for our email system!
Well anyways that was my attempt at dipping my toe into murky waters. Power to you all
