I am not sure if super sellers (eg 10000+ feedbacks) get additional information/access.. The eBay people will answer your question for you ...

The bids you enter will be visible, up until the reserve is met. After that, if no one else bids, your maximum will not be shown (unless, of course, your maximum was exactly equal to the reserve.)
So for example, if an item has a reserve of $100 and you bid $1 on it and then continued to bid until it says "reserve met" ie $101 and the auction closes and no one else bids on the item, will the seller see will see the $1 bid, as well as any other bids you made that were less than or equal to $100.
If you bid over $100, and there are no other bidders, your bid and any bid increases you make will show as the reserve ($100).

Any amounts higher than the reserve wont be visible.
In a normal auction where there is NO reserve, the seller will not be able to see your top bid.

As Kunz said, the auctioner is only entitled to see up to the winning bid and if your current bid is less than the reserve, but your max bid is greater than, the auctioner will see the reserve amount until someone bumps it up. Put another way, the Auctioner can only see up to the highest bid, they have no idea what is above this.

Yup, if the auction has a reserve set on it, the seller can view all the bids leading up to the reserve. I think its there so that the seller can make a decision whether or not he/she should let the item go if its a couple of dollars below the reserve.

Well, I've been outbid now....all my bids are now in full view.
Time to use the sniper, I don't want to push the price up unnecessarily.
I use EZsnipe, it's been great.....bids with four seconds left. Anyone use a sniper quicker than that?

I have never been out-sniped using this sniper. How often does biet-o-zilla fire in it's bids?

Never used a sniper, rarely miss out however, I like the feel of pulling the trigger myself! (but I'm going to check it out)
Mez, as a man who enjoy's tinkering under the hood. Go Firefox, it's a revelation!
You can bolt on what you want and the tabbing function which MS is copying (according to rumours, yes and i know it's not exclusive to FF or even original, for all those flamers!) it's a bloody brilliant feature!
You get the very occasional page that loads badly, very very unusual in the latest version, but my butt dyno reckons it loads pages far faster than Ie and fasterfox bolt on add's that extra couple of Kw's.
I'm rambling but i use IE at work due to a "standard environment" and ferkin hate not having tabs or flexibilty of fox.
"Nike it", only takes a few minutes to download and sits happily beside IE so you can keep both.
