That's what I meant by small Taka, I'm used to seeing "man sized" wheels now.

Yes Dave, eye surgery was certainly "character building".

But with the "chop" I'm worried I might freak out a bit when they start that CHAIN SAW up..............

Traction is key.

Nothing worse than that loose feeling in slippery conditions...

<adopts innocent expression>

I'm merely contributing to a discussion on the size of contact patches...

Footprint! Sounds painful. But hey, whatever floats your boat, right?

Luckily the eyes are a oncer but I'll remember that tip for the next time I encounter sizzling flesh...something to do with high speed friction...or something...

Never mind. It was obscure and in poor taste. Debbie doesn't deserve it.

Having lusted at different times over the 911 Turbo, Gallardo, F430, Ariel Atom and AM Vanquish AND Vantage, I'm nothing if not fickle (and a bloody dreamer).

However, all have been (temporarily) replaced by the grandly named Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.

6 litre front-mid mounted V12 pumping out 463kW and 607Nm (detuned from Enzo). Dry weight of 1,580kg. 0-100km/h in 3.7 secs. 0-200km/h in 11.0 secs (!!). Way cool stuff like F1-Trac traction control, magneto-rheological dampers (easy Taka), carbon composite brakes, F1-Superfast semi-auto box and possibly the smoothest Ferrari interior ever.

All I need is $600K and better life insurance.

I think Timbo posted a link to one of these a month or so ago. Here's the rest. Very funny.

Just came across these too.

Never knew the Gti came with an ugly little cane toad.

Reminds me of the old joke about the engineer who found a talking frog.

No more near misses please rotor gods I am getting nervous...one more to go to make 3.... I tell you if someone does hit me it will not be a happy place to be.......

I found the '>' button in the middle of the screens didn't work. Try hitting the '>' button in the bottom left hand corner of each screen. Doesn't always happen with the first hit for some reason but by the second or third click you will see the word 'loading...' come up on the screen. I just checked it and it's working for me.

Sorry to hear about that. I almost had an incident myself this morning. Had to belt down to Wollongong for a brief appearance and on the way back I was in the middle of three lanes of traffic with a reasonable amount of cars around me. This P plater (ding ding) in an old clapped out Swift just slightly ahead (i.e. still overlapped with me) and on my right moved across into my lane doing the old indicate as I move trick. Had I not been paying attention she would have side-swiped me for sure. Jumped on the brakes and gave her a few toots to wake her up. It was only then I noticed that she had no mirrors at all - none.

and for you Julia. Only half a day for you to go. Yours truly still has work to do tomorrow.

Still, had a great blat down to the 'Gong and back this morning.

Passed a greybeard in a stock Velocity Red just south of Waterfall. Gave him a few friendly toots and a wave and got a faltering wave in return. Think he was checking out my exhaust tips at the time.

I'd be happy with the bass and treble from the V12.

Actually, I'm not much of an audiophile. The only thing I've bothered to figure out with my stereo in the 8 is how to program radio stations, set the time and change CD's. Techno fiddlers would burn me at the luddite stake.
