'Er indoors' Dad got him an RC UFO that is propelled by a little fan and lights up. Awesome at night to frighten **** out of the neighbours. However, the charge only lasts about 15 minutes.

The best bit though was that the slot car set my brother and I bought years ago to while away a rainy weekend was unearthed at his place and delivered to Chez Revolver. We bought extra sections of track at the time (including a few special bits) and I had forgotten how big it is. The spare room is currently dominated by metres of minature blacktop and the sounds of childish cries of triumph and delight (and you should hear the mini-terrorist ).
Toys are so much fun....kids ones that is!

We spent Christmas day playing with my nephews haul! Tickle me Elmo was a crack up.....but it got boring and we moved on to the Table Tennis set...this game developed into something like table tennis skirmish and I nearly lost an eye with an errant ball.

Our family Christmases are never normal!

I think you mean physiological .

Typical female behaviour though - always happy to inflict a punishment that affects you both in order to prove a point.

<me ducks and runs> lol

Ha! You should try homicidal totem tennis. The bats are bigger and heavier, so make bigger bruises when thrown at a gloating opponent.

Ahh yes homicidal totem tennis. I remember getting a black eye from my brother with the tennis ball.... He hit it so hard that it nearly knocked me out. My eye puffed up straight away, looked like I had done 10 rounds....

This was mum
This was my brother
This was me with one puffy eye

We remember these times fondly...he has never been the same since!

If the bat doesn't work I have chased my oponent with a spade which is also quite effective!

Spade, schmade. Come see me when you've been speared with a cricket stump.

That particular cloud had a silver lining though. He was behind on runs when he did it, so that backyard victory will forever belong to me.

OMFG....you must have a mean streak I haven't seen.....must be helpful in your profession...... Nah only joking......

I have had many a battle with my little brother....the one that was by far the best was when I chased him in my old Austin, he was on a Honda 100 road bike...he fell off and I ran over his bike!!!!!!

Austin 1 Honda 0. Amazingly it was still rideable...the ground was soft and the bike made a nice print in the earth! We haven't told Mum and Dad about that one!

Cricket stumps....mean but not the meanest.....

It's fair to say I didn't refuse to "walk" in a game of backyard cricket for a while. Mind you, I still say the ball never grazed the small shrub that acted as automatic catch at third slip.

I had my revenge a few months later though. I talked him into trying the 4 foot terrace drop off in our sloping backyard at full pelt on his scooter. Fair dinkum that was an ugly incident. Not much left of the scooter either.

Have to hand it to you though. I never ran over his bike. I think the closest we came to wanton destruction was the escalating airfix model duel at ten paces. By the time peace had broken out, our bedroom looked like the aftermath of El Alamein.

Agreed. Now I have to referee such bouts of childish enthusiasm. Very tempting at times to allow the law of the jungle to take its course.

No we have nothing like that!!!

No really when the dogs have a barny I stand there and make ding ding noises. If they go more than 3 rounds I break it up!!! They never hurt each other.....

Changing topic have started boot camp fitness training again this morning...too much running = I am assured this will get better...it did last time but not nice when you have to find a tree and ralph in public!

The early morning drive with no traffic makes up for this though!! Are there speed limits at 0530???

Have a lovely day all!

Not sure ... find out when the local constabulary wakes up and you may find out when the speed limits are enforced. If they're not enforced they're not there ...

... that's what I think anyway.

Those boot camp operations are a shocker. Can you not get fit without some tool shouting at you? Or do you have one of the saner roid junkies?

As for speed limits at 0530 - it's a bit like the old tree in the forest...

No yelling....she's a really nice woman.....very fit and very motivating....she works on subtlety rather than yelling...Fitness First run one where they yell and make people carry car tyres etc.....bunch of w%$*kers...if you ask me.

No I go to this one cause it's not like that and I really like getting up and starting the day outside...before the rot sets in!!!

As for trees....well I cut some down this mornin'.....drove into town...about 25 kms....and all the way I made that car earn it's keep. Oooo Yeah!

Needless to say the next thing I did was fill it up with fuel.....98RON as I was too lazy to back up to the 95 RON pump..and before the sad debate of economy gets going again...I don't care how much fuel I save just as long as I don't run out!
