Im using it. Managed to catch up with a few old friends (and Girlfriends :|). I dont mind it but it unfortunately hasnt caught on as much as it needs to to be useful, and as you said there are some demographics that find it a little difficult to use.

My thoughts are, setup your profile so that as more people catch on, they can find you. You dont have to do much day to day, so long as your profile allows people who want to find you to be able to. I think if everyone did that it would become a great tool.

It could do with de-yankafying.

Has anyone here bothered with it yet? Pros? Cons?

Currently debating whether to junk it or not.
Between work, study, my social life and time on both this and the au site it dosen't leave much room to move.

Just so you know Dave I put my profile up on Facebook (I got converted) and the concept looks good, but I'm in the **** enough with my wife without spending more time on another site...

I wondered what that facebook emails were all about. I have them set as spam on our network, that and friendster, and a couple of those social engineering sites.

Guess I'll have to be less grumpy and slower in hitting the "this address is spam" button LOL.

I use FaceBook,

It is pretty good. I have caught up with heaps of old friends and as Dave mentioned it is a good way to keep in contact with widely dispersed friends. I have a few friends interstate and O/S and it is easy to share photos, videos and stuff.

Given my age demographic I was surprised at the amount of people I knew using it.

I give it a thumbs up

(re-reading my post I sound like an Advertisement - sorry)

Enjoy

Well gang I've decided to resurrect this topic again and I hope this time around we can discuss it in a more 'conciliatory' manner, as I know a lot of us are very keen to find out the answer to this question....

Has anyone heard from Missy K or Cromax? I would like to know how are they going......

I've not heard from them.

Why don't you just PM them to say hi?

Thanks Andrew and Dave, but what I have to say is better out in the open rather than PM. I think we all know each other enough by now.

Nate and Kall...I hope you respect my decision to send you this on the lounge, the same way I also respect your decision to no longer post here.

I'm sorry to see you guys arn't talking, however I hope you are well and still 'keeping in touch'. You've helped keep this forum alive and inspiring others on your views, sense of humour and love of the RX8. Therefore I hope you will reconsider your options....

All of us from time to time get 'slam dunked' but we pick ourselves up off the ground, dust ourselves off and keep moving forward. We have to apply that rule in our every day of our lives...

If this is it...well all I can say is that you guys had a good run while it lasted.

I'll close by saying I wish you both luck, and more so maintain your love of your RX8.

All the best

I don't think either of our cars have seen a sponge since July, if not before!

We've both been busy working and studying and I don't think it's going to stop anytime in the next couple of months. So little time, so much to do.

But it is nice to get well wishes, so thanks so much Trev ... you're not coming in October?

Time to consider drive in car wash

Sorry to hear that things are busy. But I am glad that you still have time for our club.

Well, things being busy isn't really a bad think taka, more that some things have to take precedence over others.

Hey Kall,

Glad to hear work and home life are motoring along for you. I'm sure your pup is also keeping you busy, lol.

We tried that Meguiar's dry car wash stuff at the Nats last year and I thought it worked fine. No scratches either, but it may depend on how filthy your car is to begin with.

See you in October...

Kall and Cromax, I couldn't be happier to see you both of you kicking some goals and your house is coming along fine as are your RX's...even if they do need a good wash (blame it on water restrictions)

Your contributions are greatly appreciated by all and I'm glad your back.....you both provide an excellent source of information and more so help others out when they need it. Welcome back..........and best wishes....

...and regarding October...a lot of it will depend on Mr Howard sending me back my tax return in time, which will then provide me with the much needed cash flow I'll need to make it happen!

I'll keep you posted.

Yeah because it is Mr Howard that does your tax - it's sitting on his desk right now, he'll get to it after APEC!
