Party's over for me too.

Hols next week and then work is ramping up big time (human nature is my best asset ).

Hope to catch up at cruises and track days (work and marital negotiations permitting).

So long - it's been, , diverting.

No where in particular, just having a break for a while. I've been at Parli House for 12 years, and it's time to get out into the real world again.

I have tallied up my personal count for the Pathology college.

I have done 88/260 Post Mortem last year .... Being the slave of the 5 pathologist, I am certainly drawing the short straw. Not quite make the tonne but I don't want to .... one week to go and I don't want to do 12 PMs

With any luck that will be my H.S. for the year for the rest of my career.. I am sick of this part of my work already.

I am sure you are referring to the cadavers in the universities for dissection demonstrations. They are formalin filled so most of their smell is formalin - which is not as bad, but very strong indeed.

The PM I did is mostly Coronial cases, I get to come across a very green man. You see, if they are beyond recognition, they need to be sent to expert in oral identification for a postivtive ID = to the big city = Melbourne Southbank

So worst that I do is green man that dead for 5-6 days.

You sometimes has to pray that a 43 degree day that no one drop dead - they smell.

Luckily the one died on those days has Air Con on

Fat man are yuck - since the cold room does not keep them cool - they are still warm in the deep fat and they are decomposing - errrrr...

Maggets are cute - they go every where and down the windpipes and to the gut - but they die in the gut due to the stomach juice still in situ...

No lunch for you now LOL .... I can tell more.

Where's the pictures... I want to see

On school holidays I use to go to work with dad each day out on the police boats. Each week we would pull into the boat 1 or 2 bodies. The other officers could not handle it so I would help dad. Nothing like a body thats been in the water for a while. Grab the arm too tight and everything just slides off the bone like chicken on a skewer

That is classic!

I have a question for a coper's son.... why do the traffic scene investigator take so long before moving the body and into the body bag and into the fridge.

An accident where a guy is drunk and ran over by a semi... every body part is in pieces and put in a bloody cake in the bag.... have some organisation mate!

Take too long to get the guy in the bag too... what are you doing, admiring the state of damage - the happy magget is eating the brain alive...

BTW... get all the part of the brain even though it is in the mix of the dirt - I want to see them too!

What else... sometimes they let them bleed and leak blood out - and how do I suppose to collect blood for toxicology after that.

I know you have a job to do... but I do too

Venting is much better afterwards
