Mazda Meet and Greet 16th April
#51
Yeah was a fun drive and learnt some new roads to go have gun on.
Enjoyable until just before home, when my CD player started to malfunction again (already replaced once). It just starts not wanting to read CD's by skipping to a different track every couple seconds then after doing this for a while will just eject the CD - no matter what CD not just the same one. If I turn it off and then back on it will work for a little while and then start doing it again. It also started getting a pretty loud metalic rattle from the the area of the CD/radio which sort of sounded like a cricket (insect variety) that if I put my hand on the unit and apply some pressure the noise would stop. Remove the hand & it would start again.
Arghhhhhh!.... how many times am I going to have to go to Mazda to have this car looked at. Very frustrating and sort of ruined the night. This car doe's it seems at times want me to trade it on something as it just keeps having new problems. Get one fixed then a couple weeks later a new issue. This will be the 8th time the car is going back for a problem to be rectified in my 6months of ownership. A fantastic first Mazda experience!
OK vent over, until I contact Mazda Monday

The only disappointment of the drive is not able to open up as much as I want because of the police!
Well and the green RX-3 too!
Not to mention the blue car in front of me :p

Hey Guys,
Sorry I missed last night. I did cruise down to Williamstown incase you'd headed down there. Only came across 1 RX8 (silver, gun metal) going down Melbourne Rd. IF that was anyone from here, they may be disappointed later this week. There was a speed camera on the side of the road, and it looked like he got pinned with an almighty FLASH!
Anyway, as Taka mentioned, last night, there were too many police around. I had a fang around albert park lake, and then cruised home.
Love to see some pictures gents.....

Sorry I couldn't make it, was still recovering from jet lag (still am a little bit). Hopefully we can get either an RX-8 specific or general one again soon.
