I don't think I'd be able to resist fitting 20's to it, even if it is the bride's car.
I think I could do without most of the stuff in the leatherpack, although climate control is handy once you've gotten used to having it.
Does the clothpack have cruise?

Well, that'd do me then. I'm sure I'm capable of twiddling a **** if it gets too hot or cold but cruise is a must on long driving holidays in my view.
I think we'll have a good look at these when the 6 hits warranty expiry in 3 years time (I'm not an early adopter of cars - I prefer to give the manufacturer some time to sort out the teething problems and maybe introduce an upgraded model, a la the 6, which made it a much better car). The mini-terrorists won't need something that big for a few years anyway.
Please keep us posted how it goes Andrew. Is there a www.CX7club.com yet?
EDIT - hit the 'link' created by my question.

Well, I have stood and been counted as a critic of such stuff as leather and heated seats, but I have to say I am an utter convert. Any cold evening/morning when you get in the car after it has been parked outside, the seats warm in under a minute -- much faster than the heating system -- and warms your whole torso At this rate, I might go for the Merc masseuse next

I don't think seat heaters are really necessary in our climate.
Even on a trip to the snow in a mate's Volvo 4WD barge (the big one), I found myself turning them off after only a minute or so.
Mind you, I don't feel the cold much, live in a warmer climate and was raised by depression era parents, whose invariable response to whinging about being cold was to say "put on a jumper then", or "put on another jumper dummy".
Then again, you often see old folk wearing cardigans in summer...don't you Timbo?

Went to see the CX-7.. Finance Director was keen on the car until she saw the CX-9 on the Mazda USA website... So I am now safe until 2009, (new car release + 1 year to get out the bugs) but I suspect that we will have to pick up a new car before then.. I have two years to point out that the CX-9 has Ford bits like the engine and gearbox, just like our ill fated MPV..
If only the series II RX-8 would come with a tow bar... Please oh Gods at Mazda grant us lowly Australian customers a nice new tow bar that does not look like a sex toy So I won't have to drive a truck to work and organise a CX nats..

Incidentally....driving my mum around when I had the HOnda...I flicked on the heated seat button on her seat...cause I'm such a nice daughter...it was a 40 degree day....she nearly clubbed me to death when I burst out laughing at her concern over another menopausal hot flush!!
They are nice in the winter...but it doesn't get cold enough here in SA to really need them.....then again Canberra...don't ya get snow there??

I might have missed it..apart from the ad being weak as water for this car....it looks a bit like an 8 on steroids in the front and a 3 in the rear???
Kinda weird styling...going off to look at the CX9 now....is it better?

I remember seeing some crappy ad with a bloke with his ear to the ground or some such ****.
Forget which colour the car was. Think I switched off when a truck came into view.
