JDM MS Exhaust sound clip and MS rice items ..

JDM Mazdaspeed exhaust sound.. still running in.. this is not the US "fake" Mazdaspeed one I think made by Borla with the twin muffler.. impression so far.. it sounds.. great ? I like it.. perhaps not as exciting as HKS etc.. but at idle.. it makes bubbly sound.. and high rev.. sounds like I am racing ? definitely more bass... just.. enhances i should say... the mid pip is 65mm .. i feel smoother at high rpm by butt dyno.. but not significance at all.. but now .. with the mazdaspeed air panel and the exhaust.. I can hear the rotary again at load with off throttle..I also removed the two inner "air guide" pieces inside the air box.

tested Knee pads... is great for track if u dont plan on changing those rotary inspired leather seats... buckets are uncomfy...

gearknob.. I use to have the evo r Ti ****.. it was too small and not grippy.. changed to MS .. good feel and grip .. and even more grip with racing gloves on track.

others.. rice ...

its almost like stock normal cruising, very comfy.. but more bass. Droning definitely not, but when rev it up around 6k + its much more noticable...and.. its like singing to u.... its got a race car sound.. specially when heel and toeing.. basically... exactly what I want from an exhaust... not huge exhaust tip, sounds good when you give it, quiet and civilize when low rev..

hoping it will sound even better after few hundred Ks on it.. will do a drive pass video on track sometime

Japanparts.com sells them Dave.

I got mine too long ago to remember pricing but a quick check of their web site will tell you.

Easy to apply too.

Mazdaspeed Japan

http://www.mazda.co.jp/accessories/mazdaspeed/

in the main page flash content, choose the third option from the left, then choose rx8 then choose (SE).

Now you will be at the main RX8 Mazdaspeed Japan site, the muffler is under one of the main sub headings.

no totally different, double muffler is made by Borla I think, the single one is JDM Mazdaspeed.. or you can say is real one in a way, also that applies to the MS front struct too... the US one is i dont know fake/real carbon fibre two point fat one but the JDM Mazdaspeed one is 4 point aluminum one...

thanks Kall and Kalls's hubby ...

I would like to get the kit sometime in the near future and the MS-01 gunmetal rims for track.. .. after all thats one of the main reason why I bought sun light silver.. but of course a poor working class like me wont have that happen over night.. its like saving up money..takes forever.. haha

not all Mazdaspeed gear is good though.. as we know.. maybe....perhaps.. possibly...

- the RP short shifter is better then the MS
- ORC light (Takas one!) "should" be better then MS
- autoexe rear struct might be better coz is 4 pt compare to MS two points..

but in terms of the MS-01.. design is personal.. but in terms of functinal... i believe bcoz they r made by RAYS and is forged.. thats pretty good.. also the offset and size is very important as I can use 225/45/18 cheaper semis again with correct offset thats being tested over and over again spending millions by Mazda engineers when desgining this wonderful sports car... so i would like to keep the stock offset / size for tracking.. but just for street.. i just drive like old man.. so wrong offset/ size doesnt matter.. it looks good enough =p

just over all.. i dont want to change the balance of the car too much after they spend so much r&d on it.. i found significane diff to the car's handling when changing from stock rims / tyre size to now diff offset rims and tyre size..

I reckon you should get the rims before the kit

nah I wont get the rims until I need semis and use it as track rims.. that mean when I can achieve decent time with street tyres other wise.. its like using gear to lower my time rather then skills.. still a lot of gap before I need them and utilize the speed it can offer... so for skills development.. I would like to remain street tyres on these rims ~~
