My mazda spped kit just arrived :D
I ordered the front bar, wing and mirrors.
I will get the side skirts soon, I wanted to see what the front looked like etc.

So I will fit it over easter as I am stuck in canberra again. And the kit and car are in brissy

Cant wait though it will look unreal.

I will have to show the brissy guys once it is on.

Sweet, let us know when you're gonna exhibit a little skirt, so to speak I'd love to see some of the MS stuff in the flesh.

I am more interested in the flywheel, stabilizer bar and shocks, the magnesium wheels ....

I want to look at the brake pads too

Apparently they just have the road cages out!

It arrived yesterday.
But I am in canberra, so my bro took some pics

Total cost for these parts including freight and import taxes
$5600

I enquired with mazda, and they might be selling the stuff here at the end of the year. They said all mazda dealers will be mazdaspeed dealer, and sell the whole mazdaspeed range.

Takahashi:

You might need to do more search on the flywheel.... I am not too sure what's the standard flywheel like in the 8. As for my z, it is a dual mass flywheel which has the damper effect, so it will absorb most of the gearbox noise. WHen I changed to the nismo single mass flywheel, the car revs up A LOT quicker and also the car goes a lot stronger, but the downside is the noise level at the idle and at the lower rpm is VERY VERY Noisy (at around 1500 to 2000)... and it sounds like a cement mixer truck taking off.. and you can definitely hear the rattle noise. Just be sure that what you are putting in and you know the effect to it... because I took the nismo flywheel out of my ride already because my fiancee does not like the noise at all and that made me spent another 360 to do so.

Just my suggestions!

cheers,

richie

DragToys:

I thought the mirrors would have been painted? probably just the body kits... and I am sure you paid heaps just for the Bax Global to bring those kits over, correct? because I had the pass experience from them when I get my nismo kits too.

cheers and cannot wait to see your car when the kits are on!

Nismo350Z:

Yeah the frieght was $700 as it was airfreight. I should have taken the seafreight option, but didn't realise it was going to be so much. It is mainly due to the size of the package.

But on the upside it only took 2 days for it to get here once they had the parts in stock in japan, rather than 6 weeks.

Yeah not sure why the mirrors werent painted. But the rest of the kit is. Not to worry, the mirrors are being painted this week.

yeah... the air freight is around that rate and took me 2 days to receive mine too.... just needed to think about what to get all at once to save the freight!

Enjoy your new look and please post some pics here when those are on your ride!

Pics of the new body kit installed

It took 3 hours as we worked on different parts of the car.
1 mate seen drilling did the wing, while me and another guy did the front bar. You can see him holding the front bar.

The kit went on very easily and clips into all the factory parts on the front.
The wing has templates and anyone could do it.

So if you are going to get any of the stuff it is easy to install even though the instructions are in japanese.

I will do the mirrors over the next couple of days when I get time.

Nice work! I'd like to see the shots of the rear spoiler as well, and the mirrors when they are done.

Cheers,

We are not poor as we are driving a luxary sport saloon. But we never give up dreaming.

hey takahashi

I looked through your site, very nice. Really like the collection of videos. Poor pathologist can't beat a poor college student. Work + school work doesn't work well. So the cash rolls in VERY VERY SLOW! But I can dream as you said. Haha. As I said once, I would love to see more pics DROUL...

Eric:

I will measure it tomorow for you.
My RX8 is not lowered. I have had lowered cars before and my 3000GT is lowered, it is too hard to get around, and this is meant to be a daily driver, so I am trying to not do it, but I am sure temptation will get the better of me :D
I know the bar is about 20mm lower than the stock one as it has brackets to clip into the original undertray, and they are about 20mm in height. But I will measure it.

takahashi:
I will take some more pics tomorrow and post them up once I have the mirrors on them. I have to pull the entire door skin off to fit them, I I figure it will be a whole day of messing around.
And you will want the side skirts. THe front bar is a bit lower so there is a bit of a step up to the door sill. It needs the skirt to complete it.

I ordered the kit from www.takakaira.co.jp
Their prices are quite good and the service is first class.

nismo350Z:
No not going to get the rear bar. I don't want to cut up the rear bar to fit it. I still have all the old parts that if I want to sell the car I can return it to stock. If I cut up the rear bar then I cant do that .
Besides the rear looks alright with the stock rear bar.

Dragboy... maybe I should tell you that I am going to put the mazda factory sides on (when I get them)...
That is what I fear... if I get the sides from MS I have to get the rear as the rear factory reflectors from factory is not low enough.

I don't want the rear fog light to go. I install especially if anyone tail gate me (I light them up and switch 2 gear down and turn a corner )

My original plan is to have MS front and wing. Mazda factory side and rear. Then I keep the rear fog light.

Alterative is expenive: MS front side and wing. Then use INGs rear and still I can keep the fog.

I think I will stick with the first choice as I think I saw your factory side with MS front in the last shot?

Thanks and good luck. I think I start hating you as you have a better looking 8 than mine... hehe just kidding
