Murcott Defensive Course
did the Murcott training given to us by Mazda yesterday, 17th April, Sat. The course was at Murcott Centre (not really a centre but a part of university?) in Quaker's Hill.. very difficult to find the place.. the course consists of half the day in the room discussion about tires, brakes, ABS etc and other half actually trying out the ABS (in case of RX-8) and non-ABS braking for some others. =)
we had 3 RX-8s in all and compared to others cars RX-8 performed beautifully~
anyway, here are some pics for those that haven't been yet.

.....and even at Oran Park you get absolutely ZERO track time in the Level 1 course. I was fully prepared for this but it's still frustrating as hell! Otherwise I found the course to be professionally conducted, but VERY heavily focussed on braking aspects. Unlike BMW driver training, where even the basic course gives you some decent track time, it's obvious you need to progress a level or two upwards in Murcott before you get to do anything "fun"....
