Ever heard of it? They said it is connected like 7 ways. it has a passive ignition cut off.
Is it better than the stock alarm?

There's more to all this than meets the eye
HDs8, it might be worth posting your car description and VIN.

Do you remember the photo's of CMac's car at the auction house, timbo? It had bits and pieces missing from it and I commented at the time that the front looked too high.......like the engine had been removed. I'm not so sure that it was joyridden. I think it was partially stripped, then dumped and burnt (to destroy evidence).

I agree with 'Mez on this - seems to be more than just joy-riding going on.
Oh well, let's just be thankful that nobody has been carjacked (yet).

anyway, i have heard that the actual immobiliser module is inside the ECU, therefore, a spare ECU will allow him/her/them to start the car without too much problems. other car companies are smart enough to have the module fitted inside the head of the engine, therefore it makes it harder to steal.....
put it this way.... if certain someone wants a certain car, he/she will get it, doesnt matter how it is done......
sorry to hear the bad news, hope it get sorted soon..... its good to know that you had an insurance cover for it

Just reading through this makes me cringe that another one has bitten the dust. I'm still not convinced mine was just joyriders, the police say it could be used for commiting some crime as well..
When i went to say goodbye to it at the holding yard apart from the smell of pertol/kero used to burn it i noticed the whole handle on one side of the car had melted away so you couldn't see if the lock was broken. Also there was no dash, it was melted/burnt back to the firewall so you couldnt see what they did.
I couldn't lift the bonnet as it was warped so much but i could see some metal in there. Also when the cops turned up at the scene with the firebrigade they mentioned to me the headlights were still on, must have been very eerie, a bit stephen king like...
All i can say is at least you didn't see it driving away from you, now that was hearbreaking.....

its sad that your car got stolen, but that is what you have to expect when you have a desirable car. if someone steals your sigma, its cos' they needed to get somewhere simply, but when they are taking something that is most likely hard to steal, why just use it for transport. the car would have been stripped for parts.
