New GTR around QR
I was at the track yesterday and talk was abound of the appearance of the Nissan GTR at the previous track session.
Someone has imported this car direct from Japan and ran a 57 sec lap on the sprint circuit with road tires. Therefore, it could be capable of 55 sec lap times on semi's.
To put this in perspective a Porsche GT 3 will do this in 59 sec with semi slicks.
As you can imagine I was gutted that I missed the last session due to a date mix up and at the same time quite impressed with the lap time this car posted.
A stock Rx8 will do the same in 65 sec.

The 'road tyres' that it come son are pretty much semis. It comes with either RE070s, or SP600s ... but comparable to Pilot Sports Cup, and P-Zero Corsa. So not much (if any) gains there with semis.
