Grand Prix told me about a week's wait for a service at the moment, which isn't too bad. I'm in the lucky (?) position of still having my old car, so I can always stop driving the RX-8 if it hits 1,000km and I have to wait for a service. That would be a pretty hard thing to do though, given the size of the smile on my face right now (just got home for a spin down around the Gold Coast)
It probably won't take long to hit 1,000km, given it's a work car, it'll get driven a lot.
Hehe, just lucky
Actually there was a motorbike on the right side of the photo where the brick wall bit is - which is why it might look a bit weird, it's been cloned in photoshop.
Yeah, when I first went looking for an RX-8 I wasn't really even considering the Revelation, because I thought the interior would be too light, but when I actually saw it, I really liked it.
The amazingly long amount of time it took for the paperwork to be done was annoying, but we got there I noticed today an small area of really light scratches on the bonnet though ... -sigh- new cars. Have to work out the best way of getting that area fixed up .. I imagine the scratches will buff out OK?

Beautiful picture Matt.
Of course, glorious subject matter helps.
By the way, your calipers may have convinced me to paint mine silver or metallic this spring. My 2004 (new last November) came without paint on the calipers or the center of the disc hub (the norm for older years). I had thought red (same as car) was going to be the caliper color, but when I see how yours look, I think I've changed my mind. With that color, the wheel openings seem to be a window into the inner mechanics of the car.
If, per chance, you have a better description of the color (or a close up) I wouldn't mind
knowing or seeing.
Best,
JoeT.
Let's see if its day here, its night there - spring here, fall there - right side of the road here, left side there - funny english language accent here, funny english accent there.....phew we do have something in common besides our appreciation for a great looking and driving car!

Mice pics, Matt.
BTW - Don't fret about your first service being late. It isn't like there is magic oil in it that stops working at 1000km or anything. Not even 2, 3, or 4000. They don't even change the oil at the aftersales free service, just a saftey check, and a chance to recticfy any "issues". No oil change till the first proper service, unless of course you ask and pay for it.
Cheers,
Mark.
