NSW - Lets Cruise 10th June, 12th August
#26
Still on for 9am, my car looks like it's been wallowing in mud and given it's still bloody raining and I've been digging out drains out, it's going to stay that way!!
See you tomorrow.

Cruise
For anyone in NSW, you would know how bad the weather has been, so when we had 5 show up no big surprise. We lost Mike who had to work but showed up anyway which was good and the usuals Len, Otto, Drew and myself and had a belt up to Palmy. Lucky we hadn't picked the Old Pacific Highway because a large piece is now missing as per the news broadcasts!
Mc Carr's Creek Rd through the National Park was interesting, lots of water on the road and LEAVES!!! Very slippery!
We can say we actually "drove on the beach", half on Palm beach was on the tarmac, ocean ad calmed down from the 10 metre waves yesterday and the surfies were having a ball.
Check out lens new wheels and huge bloody brakes. Clearance between his calipers and the wheel balance weights can't be more than a few mm!!!!
Pre coffee!
Thanks for the burn guys and thanks Macca for the "fuel stop"!!

Hey Tuan,
i saw your car in Bankstown about a week ago, the car ride very well.
the new Greddy coilover seem to work very well.
i m looking at changing my suspension , i m 50/50 on whether i go with Tein Flex or Greddy (like your )
p.s i have Gramlight 57pro on now.

HEy escape.
Yeah the suspension I'm very happy with especially at that price. But if I had to go retail $, I'd get the Flex due to its popularity and EDFC option. However no one can really say which is the option until they try both, it really is an awesome piece of kit to grab hold of.
Mind you, that day you saw me was my birthday picking up my birthday cake haha.
Gram lights 57 Pro are the bomb! Actually I do remember seeing it. Works well.
Perhaps a cruise sometime? One we can all make, Mike?

Good run Mikey, the old McCarrs Creek Road is an oldy but a goody. After the money we saved not parking at Palm Beach, the coffee was pretty cheap!Cruising along Epping Road on the way home I hit the pothole from Hell, now have a nice bent Oz rim....
Other than that,it was a good day.
Cheers

Sorry I had to bail on you guys and sorry to hear about your rim Len.
Sounds like you've cured the weak link on the Polo from hell, lol.
Had a nice little blat into work this morning to make up for missing out yesterday. I rather think I woke up a decent part of Willoughby when second gear got too good to change up.

I met up with Len at Top Ryde and he seemed to know where we going so I followed him. A couple of U-turns later and we were at the meeting place (LOL).
The glare off Mona Vale road was pretty horrible but once we got off it, it was a great little drive. I've never driven McCarrs Creek road so it was all new to me. As you can imagine with semi slicks the greasy conditions made it all the more interesting. I'll have to do it again on a dry day.
It was good to meet Drew and catch up with Len and Mike again (sorry to hear about your rim Len).
Hopefully on the run to Torana in August the weather will be kinder and some more people will be able to join us.
Till next time, Cheers..... Otto

Well, I might have missed the cruise but not the drive, lol.
Turned out that I had to coach my mock trial team at Clareville last night, so it was MV Road, McCarrs, Bilgola Bends, Plateau Rd to get there and then dropped one of the kids home to Palm Beach (he's got a tough life), so it was Barrenjoey from Palmy all the way back through Bilgola Bends and then McCarrs again, etc to MV Rd.
Both ways I had almost clear roads and can guarantee I had more fun than you guys did on the Sunday, lol.
One particularly sphincter-puckering moment though when I hit a lot of water on one of the tighter corners near Palmy. Bum stepped out majorly but got it straight again just before landing on the footpath.
BTW, I don't think the gentle folk of the far north would have appreciated my Hymee interrupting their viewing of Qld's win, assuming they deigned to watch the mungos in action.
