If you have never changed you transmission oil then that's not your transmission fluid since the drain plug is still tightly on there.

How could transmission smoke come out of your bonnet?
transmission oil is different to engine oil and it smells really bad.

Could be your oil cooler hoses? check behind the front bumper

There are hoses to the oil cooler but they are plastic. Unless you have twin cooler like mine then you will have a metal one between the cooler...

Plastic hoses aren't expensive????
