Ok a sticky thread:) How to treat your 8 without having your gf/wife getting jealous

So what do u guys do to avoid your girlfriend/wife getting jealous of you treating your 8 better than her???

Cos, im having some problems as you guys can tell :o my otherhalf thinks i pay attention to the 8 more than i pay attention to her. And always wash the car like 3 times a week and always getting stuff for the car...

She is now like saying if u get any mods for the 8, i would have to spend a equal amount of money of the mod to get her a LV or a Chanel present

does this sound fair :o

Washing your car 3 times a week its not black is it ? definetely a case for OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour )......Dr Taka would agree LOL .

If you dont look after your lady she will find someone else who can .

At one point my wife said the same thing. I repiled straight back "Your right" then sarcastically mentioned how not once has it ever turned to me and said "I've got a headache" Well she did not speak to me for hours but then over the next month I noticed she had a lot less headaches too.

Now when I pamper the car I pamper the wife a little as well, and it works... Now she buys me things for the 8 too! :D :D :D

I wash the car...I make sure and wash her. When I buy something for the car, I buy something for her. When I take it out for a nice drive, I take her with me.

OK....can't resist this one.....

When I fill it up with gas............

As long as you treat her BETTER than the car, you will have it made.

It's not fair, but you're missing one important fact. Girls are not fair. They have the ability to cheat and lie and usually get away with it. First: don't tell her what the mods cost. Second: inflate the price of her presents. If she says, you could have gotten that for a lot less, say, I saw it and I knew you'd love it so I had to just buy it for you. From your sig it looks like you have been spending a lot on the car. Here's how you can get out of trouble...start talking about something you wanna buy for the 8, new rims, spoiler, whatever, then show up with a present. Say something like, I was going to get (whatever you said before) but I thought about what you said and decided to buy you something instead. Now she feels like she has won a victory over the car.
Finally, you don't need to wash your car more than once a week.

Ok, is she the kind of girl that would help you with some of the things that you do for the car? Cause I know I would be jealous of the car if I was not included.

Ask her opinion on your mods. Describe them to her and help her understand what they will do, etc.

Gifts are a semi-good idea. Seems that you would be trying to buy her love at that point. Just make her feel special too. Take extra time to pamper her also. Not with gifts, but maybe a date night, or something a bit more romantic. She just wants to feel special to you and if she sees you treat your car the way you do, she does not feel as though you care as much about her as you may say because you do not treat her with the same respect, care, reverence, etc.

Here is a handy tip from a very brave man:

"I never quite figured out why the sexual urge of men and women differ so much. And I never have figured out the whole Venus and Mars thing. I have never figured out why men think with their head and women with their heart.

For example, one evening last week, my girlfriend and I were getting into bed. Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually says "I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me."
I said "WHAT????!!! What was that?!"
She responded to my puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?"
What every boyfriend/husband on the planet dreads to hear..."You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man."

Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night I went to sleep. The very next day I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a
big, big unnamed department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several different very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take so I told her we'll just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said lets get a pair for each outfit. We went on to the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings.

Let me tell you...she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis. I think I threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey." She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement.
Smiling with excited anticipation she finally said, "I think this is all dear, Let's go to the cashier".

I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No honey, I don't feel like it."
Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled "WHAT???!!!"

I then said, "Really honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while.. You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman."
And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?"

Apparently I'm not getting any tonight either. "

Let's hope you don't fall in the same boat as the brave man :D

IMHO, some people here need to do some serious study on how to have a mature relationship... and what car you drive, what you do with it, or what gifts you buy your partner have nothing do with it.....................!

Pamper your car as much as you want. All you have to realise is that if you can't pamper your wife more than your car, then you should look long and hard at what you are doing... :o

Last I heard, a divorce will cost more than your 8. AND if the settlement doesn't go your way, she may just end up with the car too... :p

Hehe........ that is so true! :D

My last mod (HKS intake) cost me $1500, $1000 for the intake and $500 'shopping money' for her.

I guess I'm not married but my girlfriend of several years has never had any problems with me spending money on my cars. Although we live together, I still buy her little things every now and again (not nearly as much as the little things I spend on my car though :P) and take her out to dinner etc... I guess its my money and I work hard for it so I get to spend it on what I want. I don't make any comments when she comes home with 2-3 different pairs of shoes in one week, so why should she care what I spend my money on. Its not like I'm sending myself to the poor house or anything.

You are bad EZZY...

There is a Chinese saying "You rather tell one to smack their kids, but shall not tell one to divorce their wives"

At least if you are out pampering the car, she knows you are not giving her best friend a service

Cheers,
Hymee.
