Optimum Tuning
Reading various threads i believe that 13.2.1 or 13.5.1 are the optimum figures for optimum Air fuel performance in our RX8 .
Whats the difference between these two levels of tune does the .2 -.5 relate to the ignition timing ???
cheers

It is the Air Fuel Ratio. AFR.
It is expressed as a ratio of volumes. The correct nomenclature would be 13.2:1 or 13.5:1
Meaning 13.2 grams of Air for every one gram of Fuel.
The ideal AFR for complete combustion is 14.7:1. It actually depends on the fuel, and is closer to 14.67 or something. Generally 14.7 is regarded as "stoich" for "petrol" or "gasoline".
For max power, a richer mixture is required (less air per fuel), and around 13.2 or thereabout is what is aimed for.
Cheers,
Hymee.
