But, it's for a full hour and mentions celebrities trying for fast laps. So it's the full UK edition of Top Gear. Shame it's not the current series, guess I'll have to continue to download it.

I must say, one of the few benefits of having to sit through a dreary English winter like I'm suffering through right now is Top Gear, shame the series just finished... but they also have a couple of re-run episodes a day on cable... doesn't really make up for not having a car though

Yeah, moved over here for a while, going to do the whole working/travel thing... nice and cheap 
Working for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, so get to play with lots of virtual RX-8s, but no real ones unfortunately... I do miss my old car, but living in London, having a car would be pointless anyway...

Have to agree with pepe
Lived in London (Zone 2) for over 4 yrs until 2003. Not owning a car was a great stress reliever...If we'd had one, half our evenings would have been taken up circling the suburb to find a park near our house
We had a car park with the apartment we rented initially -- which we sublet for £300 per month!
Our favourite activity was to get Eurostar to Lille, pick up a rental car and head wherever. Or take Ryanair or EasyJet to wherever they were offering £2 return special airfares.
As for grocery shopping, Tesco Direct is good...we also invested in a 'snazzy' shopping trolley, as there was a Tesco about 1k away.
But, in the end, the rain and cold grey days get to you

you complain about the weather in the south of england, try living around the north near liverpool (CHAMPIONS O' EUROPE!! ). virtually everyday its wet and even when its not the weathers usually vey bitter.

I hope it works. The RX 8 came 45th and is ahead of some very expensive cars. The STI and EVO have performed well but lack style. But ofcause some of the more expensive car owners may same about our car as well.
