Hey nice cd there.... what's on it?

Where'd you get that phone from?
AFAIK, it wasn't available in Australia yet.

Hook me up with one Ezz.

BTW, to answer the question in your post, I'm using Sony Ericsson K700i.

I'm with Taka, like the SE mines a Z600, that way you can slam the phone shut with a satisfying clunk when those tossers ring and try to sell you a new plan!

SE K700i here, moved from a P900, which I moved from a P800, prior to that it was a Siemens S55, prior to that a SE T68. I change phones almost yearly. I'm a gadget freak

I'm a complete tosser on mobiles :o . Have just swapped from using a Treo 600 to a Blackberry 7100v, although I also have a Nokia 6230, which I use on long trips. :p

My secret is that some time ago I installed a THB-Bury handsfree kit, which allows quick (and fairly cheap) swapping of cradles to suit different phones. I have one for the Treo, one for the 6230, plus a Bluetooth cradle. The cradles mean I can recharge and get the benefit of the aerial, which is a neat little thing that fixes to the inside top fron windscreen - virtually invisible but gives good reception. If you want to get THB stuff in Australia, check out http://ptp.net.au/ They are good folk.

But my big gripe is that, FFS, it's nearly 2005, it's illegal to hold a phone anywhere near your ear in most of the civilised world while driving, but neither the car or handset mfrs have got together to agree standards on integration. As I said, FFS......

No one know when I am texting though. I have the phone for so long that I don't even have to look.

However.... my ex called me up recently asking for a drink. I check my text sent items and saw a message, "you know I have been in love with you all my life" wrongly sent to her. Damn I should have taken the oppor to seek the old and now forbidden lust LOL :D

In handfree front, I want to see what the blue ant bluetooth speaker can do. Certainly it is cheaper than the SE variant.

The latest trend in mobile phone usage seems to be to use the speaker phone function and hold the phone with the hand that's on the steering wheel.... I saw a guy in a Z4 almost have 3 accidents in 200 metres yesterday cos he was driving one handed with the phone in his steering hand. Retard!

The cops will still bust you even if it's nowhere near your ear.. I got done for having it in my hand hanging up a call!!- after doing the right thing and using my handsfree earpiece thing.. ... I wasn't even looking at it.. damn it!.. oh well!

The technology is all there people -- and cheap, too. Voice dial, voice recognition and voice to text. Maybe the answer is Bluetooth; it's pretty stable although I notice my connection (between phone and car kit) sometimes gets knocked out by intense RF interference (passing under high tension electricity wires, or near airports). Rather than turning on the manufacturers, the police turn on the poor bloody consumer. However, it is police pressure, among others, that has made the manufacturers lift their game on car security. I guess because the police were increasing hassled by having to deal with car thefts.

The Police just enforce the law. The politicians make the law - blame them.

The police are VERY capable of ensuring appropriate changes to laws when needed (ie, when they feel they have insufficient powers, or where the issue being addressed is a hassle to them). But I query their motivation to do this when they have been handed, in effect, a tool to raise revenue
