That is right.

And judging by the Cayenne ******* I see, if they could have the turbo badge bigger, they would. Don't think subtlety is their strong suit!!!

Personally, I was really disappointed that Porsche released this monstrosity. Fat yanks have a lot to answer for.

Ouch !! . May have been a silly idea but Porsche have been kicking goals financially since its inception . The Cayenne is the largest selling Porsche per annum in the US .
What is bordering insanity is the aftermarket house in Germany that straps on two huge turbos flared guards and an extra $100 k
iMAGINE THAT 600hp and 3 ton commin at cha .....

A little set back in the RnD for my kit . I think I blew the gearbox ... :..we'll see in the next couple of days for the complete diognosis

I suppose if flogging the Cayenne allows Porsche to develop better and better cars like the current 911, Boxster and Cayman it can't be ALL bad. I suppose I just find it a laughable concept and think even less of the morons who buy them.

Sorry to hear about your gearbox. Look forward to hearing the outcome of the post mortem.

Hi there just been reading through this topic and have found it quite
interesting, sounds like the whole conversion went pretty well.

Maybe ive missed somthing somewhere but what ECU did you use
and did you do anything with the injectors.

Also how did you go with the oil drain on the turbo any dramas getting
the flow right, but impresive effort and seems to be showing good
figures, just on your gearbox have you tried fitting rx8 rear extension
housing to rx7 s6 gearbox just a tip might help.

The ECU I am using is an Exede ; The same one used in the Mazda RX8 turbo Motorsport Concept

Oil drainage is sufficient .The turbo sits slightly higher than the Greddy and utilises a separate oil drain . The Greddy uses the existing sump plug as a drain .The point of oil return is also higher than the Greddy's which is also an advantage

I have used an extra injector but it is used in such a way as to not take the top of the intake to install . This has the advantage that It cuts the instal cost considerably , The extra injector cools the intake charge and Finally the separate injector has its own map which , on low boost cuts fuel costs .

The Rx8 gearbox is one piece bellhousing . Every other Rx has a separate bell housing . The S6 fits but the shifter comes up 4 inches rearward in the tunnel
Much suckage !!!

Still trying to source a six speeder
