Turbo Update

Exhaust sounds freakin awesome !!! Raspy as ,when you get up it .

The boys at Chip Torque are wrapped with the design and quality of the kit .
Just one change with the location of the MAF sensor and tommorow I should have her back in my arms . The 8 that is !

Keep you updated soon

Tommorow is the Dyno , sorry but they had to add a couple of silicone joiners to mod the MAF .and they should have rocked up there today ! ...fingers crossed

All should be revieled then ......Stay tuned

Sorry Guys ...Its just one of those things :o ..My car's in line after a red 62 Corvette , a whiteLamborghini Countach and Christ knows what.

They say it will be there either later this arvo or tommorow morning
As I said they had a staff issue last week and a back log of cars that were in before me spewin ..

Car looks and soundz increrdible ..the wizzing of the turbo and the deep burble of the Zaust is truly amazing...Did'nt expect it to turn out so good ,first pop .

Dyno results will be posted soon as .

Sorry again about the delay :o

I soundz killer !!
We need to put some brakes on the turbo ....shes spooling up a little too fast ....we recorded 13 psi at 4500 RPM and still pulling ....could damage the engine ...need also to add more fuel ...Its a different beast comparing it to the Mazda Aust turbo ..( says Chip Torque )
We have to control the boost big time ,,,, I guess its a problem im actually happy to have ,,,Its easier to slow a turbo than to push one harder

Ciao

Is that because of the smoller sorry roller sorry ceramic roller bearing turbo you were dribbling about before in your earlier posts, maybee you shold add an extra adjustable waste gate,if thats possible i hope that might help.Or get a much larger wase gate,i guess depending on the coin you were spending.I love suggesting stuff cause im such an expert,ok maybe im not i guess your going to have fun finding out.SMILE LOTTS/HEAPS/MANNY/HUGE/BIG HAPPY/

Internal..
No need for external . at this stage , BTW have you seen the room down there !
I only use external wastegates on my big 500+ horsepower stuff

being internal won't that limit you in some respect in reguards to controll of air flow?because this is a custom install wouldn't you want more controll, I guess its trial and error.

internal W/G's help control boost better than External,,its just that internals are limited in how much they flow ,,,thats why we use them ( externals )on big 500BHP+ stuff .

its all depends on the setup and tune, and whether you have room for it or not....
had an internal wastegate for my t03/04 bb setup, it was able to flow upto almost 20psi...

anyway, any news on the dyno? nats is in 4 days :D
