possible delays

I heard a rumour today that the high power rx-8 did not pass emissions testing for ADR compliancing yesterday. I presume they'll have a second go at it but it isworrying stuff. The low power version did pass.

Anyone know if this happens much?

POWER DOWN ///???

If mazda cannot get the highpower version past the australian ADR emmision standards i for one will not be putting my hand up for the lower powered european version , i hope that this is only a slight glich with the high power version or a incorrect rumour . NO offence ment to the EURO boys but i want the high powered version.

Low Power

It wont be the 190HP low power model, but 240HP you only lose 10HP over the JDM and American versions.

That 10 HP can probably be brought back easily by a chip upgrade. Same engine, just detuned slightly to improve emmissions.
