Professional Detailing
Although I love my 8 and don't mind washing and vacuuming it, I'm frankly too time poor and don't have the patience or the knowledge to detail it properly.
I've read some of the threads on what can be done and appreciate some people actually enjoy spending hours inhaling a variety of cleaning products but it's not for me - I just like the driving part! :D
So...can anyone recommend a good detailer on the north side of Sydney so I can treat my 8 every couple of months to an all-over cleanup??

For Melbourne people, the Magic handwash in Hoddle Street, Collingwood (opposite to Town hall) has been around for more than 10 years. $160 for detailing and if you want to inspect their work. There are a lot of 2nd hand cars just next door. The salesman told me that ALL cars (Ferrari, Jac, and Mercs) are polish inside out there.
The quick handwash is very good and very clean.
But I will still do it myself.

HA HA...nice one Tim Tam.
For those in Melbourne I use a guy who comes to you, only needs water and a power point. He is a car fanatic, does an awesome job and I have no probs leaving him with my keys.
I am in the NE suburbs and I am not sure how far he travels.

Hi Revolver,
I used to live on Sydney's north shore.
There's a couple of places I used to go and i mostly went mid week as they usually did a better job than on weekends...
they are
1. Car Wash on Victoria St in Drummoyne ( Just before the caryard that sells skyline imports)
2. Car Wash on Victoria St West Ryde (Just past West Ryde Golf Course) - Play 9 holes while yer getting it detailed
3. Car Wash behind the Mobil Garage on Pacific Hwy, Wahroonga - that was my personal favourite, but they only take cash (and ya can't play golf while you wait).
The sad thing about this message is that I can't remember the names of any of these places - sorry.

Well absent finding anyone to come to me or a place nearby, I pulled the finger out on Saturday and treated my 8 to a Meguiars polish. Came up a treat but damn, all that buffing gets a bit tiresome.
Ran out of time to get the inside done, other than a quick shake of the floor mats. Might try that next weekend.
Appreciate that this is startling stuff. Must stop talking out loud about mundane crap. :o :D
