What a great day!
Inspired by Jambos, it was a great day with no incidents, no dramas and we appreciate your efforts in pulling it together. It was also great to see our Rx-8 friends coming from as far away as Mackay, Gold Coast, Sunshine coast and the greater Brisbane area.
It was also great to see the legendary Hymee make it despite his heavy schedule.
To have over 25 of the nicest people you could ever meet is a great achievement...and the records will show its the most successful role up in Queensland to date!
We'll hopefully pull together another cruise before the end of the year, and start ramping up our campaign for the 2008 Nats next year!

Thanks again to everyone....

Great Fun, Nice to Meet Everyone
Thanks everyone for a great day out. Nice to meet you, if even I can probably remember more car number plates than driver (or passenger) names!
I've posted a few photos up on Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/photos/travell...7600459606428/
Sorry about the quality but it was actually my first day out with my new camera (a Fuji S9600) so still getting to grips with it.
Had lots of fun, especially round the twisty bits.
Apologies to those who followed me when I turned off Waterworks Road to go home (I live in Ashgrove so I figured it wasn't worth the cruise back out to Kallangur only to turn round again).
Thanks to Alistair & Trevor for the organisation and lead and tail-end (not forgetting Hymee as "tail-end charlie" on first leg) duties.
Won't rant about the muppet in the Getz doing 20 below speed limit on Mt Nebo.

Sorry for the confusion, I'll set the record straight. Approximately 30 people in 17 RX-8's.
I would say that this sort of turn out is indicative of how things will only get better in Queensland.
A 'super cruise" (overnighter) is something we can also consider...!

A couple of more pics..
This pic shows just how severe our water crisis is in SE Qld. You can see islands in Wivenhoe dam!
Also some serious mods and one of Hymees exhausts....which I believe is still for sale!!!!
Can anyone guess what else is inside Hymees box?

It's a belt driven centrifugal supercharger kit from Rotormaster (I think) in Sydney.
If I remember correctly....its the Stage 2 (smaller pulley for more boost) and generates around 220rwkw. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Cheers,
Danny
