can get the kit for an about 5-5.5K, thats a normal retail price. Did u check the kit from speedforceracing?? it is way more expensive but seems to be ok(my assumption form the info I've found so far )

hmm, 7k, where did u find the price?? I got a guy importing stuff from jap and usa, he can get it for around 5k if anyone interested. Greddy is probably the most favourite kit betweem all the turbo kits for rx8's (thats why I want something different)

does it come with warranty? the price i got for missy (was actually less then what she quoted here...) was from the australian authorised trust/greddy dealer and they offer warranty.
from memory/read it from somewhere that the kit for the US and Europe/Aust have slightly different settings.
the installation for an off-the-shelf kit should be around $1.5K max. allow a few more bucks for tuning and engineering certification.

you'd need to budget around double the whoel amount if you want to mix-n-max to have a unique setup.... and you will be running the risk of damaging the enigine due to the fact the setup you are going to have has next to zero R&D before hand..... everything is possbile, as long as you have a blank cheque

What do u reckon about the product from speedforceracing?? I have done some search but there is just so many treads about turbos and it takes ages to read through them. Did u hear any very negative reactions for on this kit??
Dont realy mind to spend 10k for proper turbo kit but last thing i want os to wait weeks to get a new engine.

Thanks heaps

I'm sorry - I probably misled you with my estimate of 10-12K. That is what most people I know who have had FI of some kind installed have spent as a minimum. One guy is actually well over the 20K mark with all sorts of further drivetrain mods.

I suppose you could get away with the Greddy bolt on kit for 7K plus 1.5K install but very few people stop at that and Eric makes some good points about the risks involved.

For all the other stuff you have said you want as well, I'd be surprised if you would see much change out of 12K after installation costs.

Dont touch the Greddy Kit

It was out in the market place without proper testing just to be the first out there

There is no boost controller ( $500-$900 )

No Blow off valve ( $300-$500 )

And the management system is a really good paper weight or an engine destroyer
( replacement ecu $1500-$2500 + tuning )
Add all this up to an inefficient kit that has a turbo that is wwwwwwwway too small and you got yourself a Greddy................... the name you can Trust

MazdaManiac in the States has mucked with this management for years only to resolve to the Microtech system .

In the states after 2 years they have found the gt 35 garett BB turbo to be the way to go
A system Ive had on my car for years now

Ciao

Dave

Turbo sizing, no fuel system support, **** poor EMU, etc....No matter what some people think.

The problem I have with Greddy (actually just one of them) is that they tout this as a plug & play kit when that is far from the truth. You need to do/buy so much to make it even semi reliable. By that time you have basically wasted a lot of your time to get new hoses, you've pulled the EMU. Just really disappointed with the completeness (or lack thereof) with this product.
