Rear Brake Tool
I started a post a few weeks ago on replacing pads. Have just had all four off to understake a bit of show and shine.
Pretty straight forward, I did purchase a tool that the yanks had a few threads on for compressing the rear pistons. Made it a cinch, (although take care in not wrecking the rubber seals). Bought it from Repco for $20 and imagine it will kick round my sockets set for the next 25 years. Front pistons compressed with a "fast action" c clamp with plactic covers, would not bother with the compression tool for that job.
Refitting pads, clips etc all up about 20 minutes, won't get me a job with Ferrari but then again who needs it.

Wish i would have seen this earlier we had to use a pair of nose type pliers and some muscle to get the rear pistons back we even released some of the brake fluid to ease the pressure :D to get the pistons back .
Oh well another trip to Repco
The tool ken had for the other rx7s rear pistons is not compatible to our RX8S
cheers

Yeah I splashed out cause I've had "fun" with needle noses before. IE 'kin up when they slip and puncture the rubber boot. Not on the 8', a previous bout of silliness.
