An alternative to spraying is using a brush kit. Yeah i was dubious too but the finish quality is excellent.

Actually, I was just thinking that the stock brakes are pretty awesome. I've heard plenty of knowledgeable people say that they are amongst the best standard brakes they've ever tried.
I wonder why Mazda seems to have deliberately made them look as dull as possible? When you look at other performance cars from the XR6 to a Porsche, some effort is usually made to highlight a special brake package by sexing up the calipers, etc.
I think the standard brakes should have been blinged up a little to make them more a feature of the car.
