Danny's put over 1,000 kms on his and I'm not far off that now since driving it home and no issues thus far.

Yeah, we had the immobiliser kick in on Fri night, which stopped the dyno boys from finishing the tune. Much racing around Sat morning to borrow diagnostic tools and get on the phone to a Mazda tech to get around that, which Danny handled magnificently - he's got some great contacts!
Running too rich at first, but that's been tuned out. Only remaining hassle is an engine light from a 'soft' code that is related to the coils (I've previously had the coil problem and replaced them). I had brand new coils installed last week before the S/C install was finished, so it's definitely not the hardware. Will try to see if there's a dodgy connection somewhere. Car is otherwise running perfectly.

and thanks for the offer to drive it back to Sydney for me, haha. Did that lap yesterday (around 850kms), only stopping for food, fuel, etc. Car ran perfectly - no missing, no heating issues, felt solid as a rock all day/evening. Economy wasn't bad either - I'm just not **** enough to record accurate numbers on that but I was getting around 400kms a tank in highway mode.
Before I track it I want to fit a second oil cooler and some gauges to keep an eye on oil pressure, oil temp and boost. All suggestions on where I can source both mods cheaply welcome (did someone say moneypit?
). I'll do some searching when I get a chance...
I'll also be organising a cruise with the Sydney and Canberra contingent soon, so all welcome to check out the beast. I might sell drives

To be honest, we were so focused on getting the tune right and the car running ok, I never saw the final figures. I'll get them from the dyno guys later.
After some consideration, I've elected to leave it up to Hymee to post dyno sheets if he chooses to - I don't want to get into a debate about power, etc because I was never chasing max power with this kit. Someone else will always be able to extract more power, from a different kit or even from this kit once 'stage 2' stuff is experimented with and that's great but I want to avoid the thread turning into a pissing contest. To be honest I haven't even discussed with Hymee the issue of posting dyno results online (and he certainly hasn't discouraged it) but I've seen the feeding frenzy that can occur with this sort of stuff. Mark (and others) have worked long and hard on this project at considerable cost. I don't wish to spoil the launch of his first production run by creating the opportunity for naysayers to crap on about what they expected in terms of pure figures.
I don't have the dyno data atm anyway but I'll give it some more thought. I do agree generally that this kind of info should be publicly available - it's the timing and the manner in which it is presented that I'm concerned about.

I Believe posting it, with statement saying at no point were you chasing high powers and what you achieved is what you aimed for and more is possible. is a much better way of going about it, then creating this mysterious shroud.

just post when you get it, Hymm already has some dynos from his site as well as in his threads, here on the forums, people will want to see what an average user will get in performance, reliability, and so forth. I am telling you now with your previous post, I am already disappointed because of how you say it. but reality, as far as I know, this kit should be making 290 ish WHP if hymm dyno of 326hp at crank is correct.
with low end torque and increase power across the whole band with a peak of 290hp, that is NOT disappointing

Gawd, talk about boxing at shadows guys. I think you're reading too much negativity into what I posted previously. There's no mystery (or disappointment), only simple respect for the fact that Hymee may wish to decide when and how objective data is published - he's sweated bullets over this project with minimal resources and deserves some consideration. As for how I expressed that, this is a car forum, not the UN, so forgive me if I created the wrong impression.
For the record, I'm delighted with the performance the kit has delivered thus far. Driveability and throttle response are excellent and the 'meaty' feel throughout the rev range is great fun when you're behind the wheel. Time will tell so far as long term reliability is concerned but it feels rock solid mechanically thus far. So far as performance is concerned, it's certainly met my expectations - it's the car it should have been when Mazda released it.
As for posting numbers at this stage, reality check guys. The kit has been running on the car for less than a week. We're still sorting through some minor issues and some further tuning may be necessary (and extract higher numbers). So it's probably a bit premature at this stage to start posting dyno sheets. I'm mindful of the fact that online info lasts forever and gets distributed in weird ways, without necessarily any context (or respect) for information that gets posted later.
We're also on a bit of a learning curve with the kit now that it's in real world operation and there's already been some ideas thrown around as to how it might be improved, with a resulting power increase. So, although I know plenty of people are keen to find out some numbers, it might be worth waiting until Danny and myself have worked through whether to leave it 'as is' or develop some 'stage 2' improvements.
Btw, my immediate reaction to being bullied or cajoled into posting any more information is to tell you to bugger off (
Aussies aren't good at being told what to do). So anyone considering further attempts are wasting their time and diminishing their chances. I've invested a lot of patience and hard earned money into this kit and taken the risk of being an early adopter while others sit back and bide their time, so if you don't mind, I'll decide when and how I share any performance data. I won't be rushed into it by people who haven't had to live through the logistics of what this kind of mod involves.
And if you don't like this response or wish to read hidden meanings in it, frankly I couldn't give a crap. Talk is cheap.

Pettit went through the same thing - it took a while before decent numbers started appearing .
However my translation of your first post went kinda like this
"we got a crap result and don't want anyone to know"
BTW - I do have as much experience as anyone here with tuning via Protuner and am happy to help if you need any.
