Angry Rip Off Merchants!

I've just received my H&R Springs and was looking for a place to install them, so I figured who better to work on the suspension of the 8, than a Mazda dealer.

I called AMR Mazda at Petersham here in Sydney and would you believe what they quoted me just to install the springs?

$495

That doesn't even include a wheel alignment nor a loan vehicle.

I know there are local companies who will lower your car for $400 supplied and fitted using locally made springs, so obviously the labour shouldn't be too high.

But $495 just to install?

I may have to rethink where I'm going to take my car for servicing in future since God knows how much they're ripping me off that!

That probably include the 4 hours they sit down and read "how to install your customer's spring?"

That is a BARGAIN price :p!

man...... the rear springs are a bitch and half to change. the front ones can be done very quickly.
hey paul, what type of H&R springs did you get? :D

Yeah, the rear looks like a bitch to change, the interior trim has to be removed.

I got the "Sport" spec springs (ie.Black).
I'll post some pics when its done.
