ROAD RAGE THUG LOSES DREAM CAR Dec 18 2004
Imagine what Gomez will do when he sees the first Shinko limited edition on the road .
A ROAD-rage driver was stripped of his dream Aston Martin car by a judge yesterday.
David Bye leapt from his DB7 Vantage and punched a motorist who got in the way of his 185mph supercar.
The 46-year-old had been left fuming after Hernak Singh innocently pulled out in front of him in his Volkswagen.
But yesterday Bye was ordered to sell the Aston to raise cash to compensate his victim.
A judge said the car - which cost Bye £96,000 new - had been used to carry out a crime and could therefore be confiscated.
Bye, a wholesale flower importer from Birmingham, was furious when Mr Singh pulled out in front of him to avoid a parked car in the city in December 2003.
He forced him to stop and blocked his escape. When Mr Singh wound down his window, Bye snatched the keys, then pulled the door open and punched his face and chest.
Mr Singh was left with bruising and a cut lip.
Bye was found guilty of affray at Warwick Crown Court last month. Judge Richard Bray jailed him for eight months and ordered the car be locked up in a police compound.
Yesterday, in a brief hearing at Leicester Crown Court, the same judge ruled the Aston Martin should be confiscated from Bye then sold, with Mr Singh getting £15,000 from the profits.
Bye - who has previous convictions for a road-rage attack, motoring and drugs offences - was also disqualified from the roads for 12 months.
Last night,Bye's father Anthony, 72, described the ruling as 'a total disgrace', adding: 'David has been victimised because he drives an expensive car.'
cheers

And a Porsche Carrera S with Sport package and active suspension is only about £72,000.
A GP earn in average 2.5 times more than Australian GPs.
Their petrol is 2.5x more and a steak sandwich is 5 bloody quids! :o
Everything is in balance... I know... but I will love the Carrera S and heavy pay package over a bloody sandwich or grocery bill. :o
P.S. They are lacking more Anatomical Pathologists than here in Australia. We are lacking about 90 positions in Australia (fully trained specialist), in UK it is about 2.5 x as much!
I can earn more than Mark Skaife over in England and drive a 997 S?!
