Rotor Mater Turbo
Just a quick note to let you all know, Joe from rotor master, took me around the area with the turbo 8 on Saturday....I just wanted to say how much swifter and more responsive this is, as opposed to the standard.
appearance - evrything seems to be pretty much hidden under the hood.
sound - not all that noticeable, but i think they could do something with the blow-off valve, to add more of a longer response sound
NOW I AM NOT A SALESMAN for Joe or anyone, Im just saying a turbo 8 seems to go very nice. Obv. a turbo anything goes better than stock, but i could consider the turbo kit very easily, and any 8 owners schould consider the upgrade...just my opinion, pity about the $$ u gotta chip out..... I just tried stage 1....app. stage 2 will be out in a fortnight, and the difference is an exhaust an 1 other slight modification in/near the engine (couldnt remember), I asked him the kW gain, he said at the end of stage 2.....prob 200 kW at the engine.....
What are people's thought/opinions.......

Confession time ???
I must admitt that if i keep the rx8 long enough to have to rebuild the rotary , i have considered getting an aluminium powered chevy V8 transplanted in it .
Friends of mine in Melbourne built the engine for the new JOSS AUSTRALIAN SUPERCAR , if it ever goes into production .
$500,000 + FOR AN AUSTRALIAN SUPERCAR HMMMM .
A light hand built aluminium v8 with great torque would be nice .
Oh well time will tell .
cheers

I read the subject of the post and i thought someone glued a vibrator to there dash..
Anyway good on rotor master for trying and having a LOCAL product. Which would be cheaper if something goes wrong i guess ( Not that it will but you know what i mean ). Its good to support Australian products guys.
Im sure when the imported turbo and supercharges scene come to Australia for our rx8 even our aussie guys will drop prices alittle.. But dont forget taxs, shipping charges that you will have to pay.
Regards
Phillip
