Rotormaster Stage II turbo?

The news section on the RotorMaster webpage
(http://www.rotormaster.com.au/subPage.asp?cid=26)
has this little tidbit of info:

if you thought this month looks busy... wait until next month as Joe prepares to launch Stage 2 of the RX8 Supercharger Kit... promising a dyno video demonstrating the significant development in this area of work.

Does anyone know anything about this? Or is it just like a Hymee 'teaser' :D

(BTW I am assuming the supercharger wording is in error as the Rotormaster kit was a turbo last time I saw it....on our Sydney meet!)

A good idea would be to invite Joe Signaerroli from rotormaster to the RX8 Nationals at wakefield on the 22nd of october and there he could show us his kit :D

Sounds very positive for Hymee and the s/c part of FI when Rotormaster switches from Stage 1 turbo to Stage 2 S/C. Cool

With so many keen Rx 8 owners I am sure the tuners and FI developers would have a captive audience.

Someone just had to remind me... Didn't they. A guy can dream

Things are actually better now. Through the wifes use of public transport (sold that to her by the idea that if she catches the train out to where I work of a night then we can travel home together, this way she gets me alone for 1.5hrs each night - she loves that) we only use one car during the week. I drive her SP23 each day, only have to fill it once a week $50.00. We were spending a total of $1000.00 a week to just travel (& Parking) to and from work, now with just the one fill per week of the SP23 and her monthly train ticket that is down to $300-$350 :D

The 8 is now a weekend/track car, and she has given me permision to mod it more. Damn I must make good conversation in the 1.5hrs home each night :D

Yep! you've discovered the secret All women want is to have a talk...and, as a bloke, all you have to do (esp while driving) is actively listen, ie, grunt, exclaim "Really!"...and empathise...you know...something like "you must have felt so good/bad/sad/happy/frustrated at that" (wing it based on the emotional context )

Keep that up (timbo valliently struggles to bring thread back on track)....and you're sure to be able to get a s/c...I mean dear, it's only 7 weeks' commuting :D

Ok please help me out...I'm not too sure how all this stage 2000 turbo n all works.

He makes a stage 1 turbo, and a year later he makes a stage 2 supercharger?
So...
A) Stage 1 turbo is ceasing
B)Stage 1 Supercharged is skipped and straight to stage 2 supercharged OR
C) This is the 1st wankel rotary with a supercharged stage 2
AND turbocharged stage 1 in one engine. (Sarcasm)

Please explain for me the ill-FI-literate... Thankyou.

i'd say its a typo. as mentioned, it "should" be stage 2 turbo setup , so they can charge ppl more.... wonder whats the RRP for it :p

That's a very weird upgrade path...

Stage 1: fit turbo
Stage 2: throw turbo away and fit supercharger

Stage 3: throw 13B away and fit 20B ??

Last I heard was when Joe rang ____ (insert mate of mine's name hehehe ) it made 187kW at the wheels with a Procharger Centrifugal supercharger.

Cheers,
Hymee.

ROFL!

Or just go straight to the positive displacement supercharger from the go! (Centrifugal is not PD. They can make good top end boost).

Cheers,
Hymee.

Why spend big $$$$$ and totally alter your car by way of turbo or supercharger only to get 187kw at the wheels

Unless i can get 200 kw +++ at the rear wheels you may as well stay stock IMOH

What would the stock rear wheel kilowatts be?

I don't know what stock of mine is

I have seen a relatively stock RX-8 with dyno at 110 & 114kW at the rear wheel. Spend $35 in a dyno and find out what yours is :p

Mine Dyno'd 113kW.

I think Hymee's was around 120kW with a few mods.

If stock is 120, 180 would make huge changes to the driveability of the car. Surely it would be chalk and cheese. Mind you, over 200 would be better.
The way the fuel prices are going, the extra cost could be a worry. It will be interesting to see how much extra FI uses.
