I got one of the new small square shaped shuffles from Santa. What a great little toy and excellent for exercise (gyms play crap). I'm not sure if I could be bothered to get an adaptor for the car though - I tend to drive without music quite a lot, so it's probably a waste of time and money for me.

Sorry to dredge this up again...but....
I was talking to one of the sales guys at Mazda here in SA. He said that the genuine ipod adapter is no good. He's sold two and the people who now want to bring them back.
He said that there is an after market one that's way better.....he's honest at least....I will save my money and stick with the FM tuner for now......

I use the Griffin i Trip. It's ok but has a faint buzz in the background which can't be fixed apparently. Here in sleepy old SA I use the station 101.1 it hardly ever gets interference. I can tune the FM tuner as I go if I do get interference and then just tune the stereo to suit. It's ok but not perfect. This one also just plugs into the bottom of the Ipod and then I run a cable into that to recharge when on the road.

I have a Mazda iPod adaptor and it is only about, oh, 100 times better that the iTrip (in NSW) in terms of sound quality. (The iTrip does let you control music from the iPod though which the factory adaptor does not.)
If you listen to your iPod a lot then it is well worth it. If you want to cut costs, install yourself, and order online.
