RX-8 goes on Spirit Of Tasmania

Greetings All,

We are in Tassie driving around in our RX-8 on their great windy roads - is this the first 8 toi travel on the ship from Sydney ? Trip down was very smooth and no cars were damaged so that was good.

I hope the pic of the car on the ship comes out.

Regards
Jeffneil

Greetings All,

Well we are back home in NSW now but yes, it was great fun to drive around Tassie - they have some very winding mountain roads, some good, some not so good but even our auto 8 handled them with no problems - the biggest problem we encountered was getting stuck behind aged drivers that went only 70 km/h - everywhere - once you got past them it was OK !

Sorry to appear as '93rdcurrent' here - I don't know how that happened but I was remotely logged in from hobart at the time so who knows ?

The trip back on the ship was a bit worse than the one going down - a lot more swell so we are glad to be back on firm ground.

We didn't see a single RX-8 down there on the road and ours was checked out by all who saw it. So they are still rare.

Now to catch up on the forum.

Regards
Jeffneil
