RX-8 prices in Aust on the rise
Greetings All,
Just checked out the new Strato Blue pic on the Mazda Aust web site - the UK and Dutch sites have better pics - they show the front/side of the car which is a bit easier to see how it will look. I have seen a Mazda 2 in this couour and am not sure how it will look on an RX-8. Still can't beat 'Winning Blue' (how could you go past a colour name like that ?)
Also noticed that all the local prices have risen by $500. Of course this is negotiable these days I suppose !
That's it for now - have a good weekend in your RX-8s everyone - we will :-)
Regards
Jeffneil

Makes you feel good when you know that the same car with more (official) power in Japan is just AUS$37,500. "Rx-8 Type-S"
Another scam you gotta love Mazda Australia for.
Japan....... Auto-Man = same price
USA......... Auto-Man = auto option is cheaper (lower power)
Aust......... Auto-Man = Auto option is more expensive (still with the same lower power)

Ask them about the popularity of the yellows and you will probably get the same response.
I guess they have to cater to the small minority that wishes to be "different" and want to stand out from the crowd (like yourself Michael)
Mazda 2,3 and 6 buyers would generally have to be more a conservative group of buyers than 8 buyers, agreed?
Ask the average over 35y.o buyer and the response on either yellow or strato blue would be "yuck"
While you ask a buyer in their 20's the same thing, a larger proportion will respond with "that's hot" or the best one, "fully sick!"
'Nuff said!

I just think due to the non selling colour on the other models.. they had plenty of spare paint to start spraying the 8's that colour.
