RX-8 vs 350Z Track vs Monaro

Quite a good article this one, comparison of the above mentioned cars which gives it to the Mazda, but gives a fairly balanced view on all of them I think.

I think it's probably fairly accurate, the Canberra Times review I posted a week or so ago quoted a combined city/highway cycle of 12.6l/100km, so I'd say that 14+ wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility for this thing around town.

JSG posted in the main forum saying he had a day out in the mountains in Japan where he was driving reasonably hard and managed to get 276km on a full tank before the fuel warning light came on, which would put it at close to 20l/100km! I think you drive this car hard and you'll be paying at the pump in a big way. It's the biggest concern I still have about this car.

It (fuel consumption) is abig concern for us in the UK too. Our fuel is hideously expensive (£0.80 per litre).

But if you look at the total cost of a vehicle for xxx miles a year (say 15000) over 4 years, the biggest cost is depreciation.

We have 2 figures forthat now, one quite good, one awful...
