Who cares? I never bought it for what other people think. I bought it because I think it's great and it meets my specific needs better than just about any other car this side of $100k.

agreed. don't really care about how other rx-7 revheads thinks coz it's just a beautiful car to drive from 1-9000RPM~
plus u can use it comfortably on everyday road and also turn on the heat occassionally at the track.. there ain' no better car which can handle both world~

The 8 is a good car, but I just wish the base line for development was higher! Maybe the re birth of the RX7 in the future will be the missing piece.
Either way, I feel I'm being a bit picky!:D

Hi,
As an owner driver of such style/image leaders as Morris Minor, Volvo, HQ Holden, XR Falcon Ute, and numerous other makes and models, usually at the daggiest and dirtiest end of their life, I’ve not previously paid much attention to the impression I’ve been creating.![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
However, as an RX8 owner now I feel it’s my duty to develop a bit of an image. Here are some experimental images that I’ve been working on trying to project:
1. Dodgy Businessman with Hidden Offshore Assets.
2. Smug Lucky Bastard.
3. Sugar Daddy with Vacancy for Nymphomaniac Mistress.
4. Arrogant Lucky Bastard.
5. High Class Pimp (you have the get the sunglasses right).
6. Nonchalant Lucky Bastard
7. Hitman (similar sunshades to Pimp, different shirt).
So far I’ve had most success with:
8. Happy Lucky Bastard who just immensely enjoys driving the thing, and who’ll give anyone interested a chance to try it out.
And even though I’ve only owned it for five months I’ve already washed it - not once but twice - and you can still see what colour it’s supposed to be. For me that’s pretty close to being rampantly image conscious….![EEK!](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Cheers, Chris.

BVD
You guys have managed to analyse me pretty well from 1 to 8 but number three appeals the most especially if the mistress is a sweet 19 year old .
In my old age i have learnt its easier/ cheaper to rent or lease mistresses by the hour .
Hymee
In your recent e-mail are u suggesting that's the sort of mistress i should have .ha ha ha
cheers

I'm going to work on some of BVD's sugestions lol
I really wanted a rx7 and after test driving one then the rx8 I still chose the 8. I now reckon the rx-7 I drove had something wrong with it. it was at a dealers and had recipts for rebuilding the turbos a month previous drove fine but it felt no faster than the rx-8? the FD would have been a bitch to live with too. I would have needed a removable steering wheel to get in and out and a steering wheel spacer to alow me to turn the wheel fully! there was other considerations like fd's beeing old and not so reliable, dropping in value fast as imports become more common, and finding a good one is like finding a needle in a hay stack.
I think everyone here knew full well the rx8 wasn't allout straight line performance and it shows as most don't care if others see the 8 as a ****** car
