Selling RX8 Advice Sought
Hi All,
I purchased a new RX-8 in Novermber 2005 and now need to sell it as I'm moving overseas. Does anyone have any advice about what the best way to sell it would be? High level details below:-
Velocity Red
<7000k
Leather pack (black)
Sunroof
Factory tint
Mats
small scuff on edge of 1 rim, otherwise perfect.
Would also be interested in what peoples views are re what I should expect from a private sale & sell to dealer.
Thanks in advance, J

Hmm, how can I put this?
I think you should have a towel ready because you're about to take a bath.
Sorry - bad joke.
Private sale I reckon you'd be lucky to get mid-50's. God knows what a dealer will offer you (maybe 50 flat if you're lucky). Others may think I'm being generous here.

The only way you'll get decent money is a private sale, but it's all good there, 'cos you have so much warranty to offer. The big issue is always how patient and firm on your price you are prepared to be.
Mid 50's is going to be hard, given people were buying new 05 builds earlier this year -- as spec'd above -- for mid 50's.
It's hard to predict, but if you have time, you should get 50...start a bit higher for the haggle.
I suspect a dealer will be unlikely to go above 45

Oops
I forgot they don't publish exchange rates on the internet in America ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Well, at a current exchange rate of $AUD1:$USD0.75, $AUD50k=$USD37.5k
Have a nice day

All, just so you know... I know this guy personally (he's someone I have worked with) and this is genuine. So if you're interested in an almost new RX-8 it's definitely worth checking out.
