Exclamation Silliest thing you have seen for the RX-8

was a little bored and the forum has been quiet of late so I was inspired by this item to create this thread

http://www.rx8strakes.com/store.php?...on=show_detail

Tired of having your gas cap rubbing against your nice paint job while refueling? Add this little accessory to your car and those days are over.

This crafty little gadget holds the gas cap securely on its non-slip surface. When you're done filling up, the holder automatically folds itself closed, allowing it to fit perfectly in the limited space behind your fuel door.

The fuel cap holder installs in minutes, with no hardware required. This kit comes with the fuel cap holder shown, and includes illustrated instructions, an alcohol pad for cleaning the inside of the fuel door prior to installation, and is packaged in a really nice little box.

Hmm, are there any RX8's on laughatrice.com?

I'll check.

EDIT: Well, I had a quick trawl through and couldn't see any RX8's. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before someone fits an OTT body kit and the funsters at L@R find it.

Andrew

That actually makes perfect sense and is kinda of neat. Think about it now to fill up you have to lay the cap on the car, which really isn't that bad so long as you don't slam it. But now least this way you don't have to take the chance of scratching it.

Is it placed as a piece of garden art?? Or just hiding in the undergrowth??

That lamp has a lot to answer for...I can see that this reno will go badly..... makes me happy that I outlawed the Mercedes Benz bucket seats as lounge room chairs....it was obvious that the terror would not stop there if allowed!!

Some people really take re-cycling way past it's limits.....

Some time back there were a pair of red/black RX-8 seats on ebay that sold for around a grand. I nearly bought them for use as home office chairs.....

You're all very weird. That's why I like you.

As for the petrol cap thing, I must be missing something that you people do while filling up. I take the cap off with my right hand, hold it while using the nozzle with my left hand and then put it back on again. Never gets near the paint work.
