To set the scene it was the end of the day, on my last run. I looked up to see Kalli driving toward the skidpan entry so I knew I only had 1 more shot to go around. Took a deep breath and hit the gas and there I went, one complete circuit of the skidpan totally sideways and Auzoom caught the entire lap on camera

Watching the 3 of us today you could see the improvement from last week. I think a lot of it has to do with us having more confidence today. It is just so much fun!

Hey we started talking about the affect of the days on Alignment. Just had my Camber, Castor and toe adjusted as well as an alignment. Have a look at these figures:

Camber (Before/After):
Front Left: -0.21/-1.08
Front Right: -0.26/-1.26
Rear Left: -1.39/-1.41
Rear Right: -1.26/-1.30

Castor (Before/After):
Front Left: +6.19/+6.15
Front Right: +7.19/+6.19

Individual Toe (Before/After):
Front Left: -2.6mm/+0.1mm
Front Right: -2.6m/+0.1mm
Rear Left: -5.9/+0.5
Rear Right: -2.6/+0.4

Not saying that skid pan has anything or everything, but geez car drives like dream around corners now.

Interesting you have less camber on the left and Winton is going anti-clockwise and you are 90kg+ tall fellow. ... are you sure you get the right number? What is the cross-camber?

HA HA, very polite of you, but in fact I am 110kg's. I asked them for a balanced setup and unfortunately its not perfect but its pretty close in my eyes.

Cross camber is just the difference between left and right so on the front it was -0.13 and is now -0.11 on the rear it was +0.05 and is now +0.18.

My main point was the toe, it was really bad before hand.

Simple...let me try and explain.

Camber is when you look at your tyres from say the back of your cars. They are at 0 degrees when they point perfectly straight up and down. When they go negative the tyres are leaning inwards, positive ... outwards. From the rear it would look like this for negative camber

/------\
R/L R/R

Toe is when you look at the tyres from say above. They are at 0 degrees when pointing straight ahead, negative is when the tyres are pointing as if they are turning outwards, positive when they are pointing inwards. From above negative would look like this
F/L F/R
\------/

\------/
R/L R/R
Caster is when you look at a tyre from side on. The suspension setup points straight up in the air when its 0 degrees, positive is when they lean forwards and negative is backwards. From the side, negative would look like this

/ /
O O
Rear Front

I think that is right...Anyone feel free to correct me.

There are degress of prefection. for example, while a negative camber will cause unevern tyre wear it can make the car handle brilliantly around twisty turns. To the same extend certain toe setting can make the car handle fantastic in a straight line or through corners depending which way you go.
