Angry Some low life stole my rotor emblem valve caps

How pathetic would you have to be to do that....?

It's back rubber ones from now on.

Anyone else suffered this sort of crap with their 8?

Badges, caps, bits?

Scum.

I though how nice eMacks looked at Wakefield. But I resisted the temptation.

That is the problem with little things like that

Cheers,
Hymee.

i had the bbs valve caps stolen from my car, so i just replaced them with regular chrome ones with a chrome valve stem. They actually look pretty good compared to the black ones and are only something like $2 each, but im sure the tire shop will give them to you free (they got lots of them).

I was just chatting with the tire shop guys and they said this was quite a common occurence, and the best thing to do would be to keep a set of pliers (sp?) in the glove box, and to tighten it the caps on significantly so that common thieves can't walk by and unscrew them with their fingers.

But how do you unscrew them? With the pliers?

ya they suggested to keep a small pair of pliers in the glove box for times when you need to unscrew.

Personally i haven't bothered to screw them on that tight since the chrome ones i got are relatively cheap....just hope i won't run into that many low-lifes .

If you run into them, make sure you run into them properly, and help improve the gene pool.

Cheers,
Hymee.

At the risk of hijacking the thread...

There is a chance I am travelling to the US in 3 or 4 weeks time or so. It would be good if I could fit an exhaust in my luggage. I really would like a numero uno Hymee Exhaust in North America! It only weighs 17kg, boxed. It just might be a struggle with my suitcases etc!

To get the thread back on topic, I hope you ran into the cap pinchers Kev! I believe L&L has some advice on how to handle them if they survive being run into.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Hymee,

If you want to take the exhaust with you on the trip go alittle earlier to the airport and when checking in tell them you have extra large luggage.

They will prob send you to another desk to get checked out and depending on your weight of your suitcase and the exhuast combined they will charge you a certain extra.

When you get to the US you can pick it up from an area dedicated to large luggage.

I know as i did the exact same thing with two servers that where traveling with me. Maybe call the airline before your trip to organise it.

Regards
Phillip
