Picked up my car on 14 August. Have since covered 5,350 kilmetres, using 656 litres of fuel and just under a litre of oil. Average of 12.3 litres/100 kilometres (best 11.4; worst 14.9) I also note my average fuel cost is $0.99 cents/litre or $0.12/kilometre.:o Two stone chips and small 'curbing' on LH rear wheel (I hate that, especially when I do it!).
Gripes? None really -- love the car. But it is not well-designed for installing a mobile phone (c'mon Mazda, this 2001 -- and all you other mfrs, too!). And ... no coat hooks (ok, I'm a suit!) .. apparently cannot be done with side curtain airbags.
And the jury is out on the digital speedometer. As far as I am concerned, when you are driving hard, it just indicates a blur of white flashes in my peripheral vision, and provides no sense of relative speed as you get with a dial; it makes using cruise control mandatory for long trips
