Stunt Driving Sydney Super Special Discount
Hi Guys
We're running our Stunt Driving School at Oran Park on Sunday 30th September.
We've had a rather large corporate cancellation and we thought that other than cancel the course, we'd offer it to forum members for a ridiculous price.
Here is our official blurb on the course......
The worlds most exciting driving course
The Stunt Driving Experience
The only driving course of its type anywhere in the world!
No experience needed!
This is it. The real deal Stunt Driving Experience – 180 degree handbrake turn parallel parking, multiple 360 degree spins, ramp to ramp jumps, and driving on two wheels.
Conducted by the Driver Dynamics precision driving team, this course includes the most exciting aspects of our world renowned precision driving course for professional stunt performers in a compact half day of fun and adrenalin.
Your Stunt Driving Experience begins with a sign in and presentation of the course activities and safety briefing. Then it’s out to the stunt driving range where YOU DRIVE our specially modified late model stunt training cars. Our friendly and experienced world record holding instructors will be with you in the cars to help you master each of the following stunt driving exercises:
180 Degree handbrake turn parallel spin parking
Multiple 360 degree spins on our unique Split Surface System
Ramp-to-ramp jumps on our 50 foot long jump ramps
Finally we’ll take you for a wild ride on two wheels in our two wheeling car
You'll also receive a certificate of completion.
Best of all, you don't need any previous experience. As long as you can drive a manual car, we can even teach your Grandma to do this!! (We've had Grandma's do it in the past )
As seen on the following TV shows..
A Current Affair Channel 9 "You just want to do it again and again"
The Car Show Channel 9 "These Guys can do incredible things with cars"
Cybershack Channel 10 with 2006 Miss Australia Erin McNaught "These guys are the real deal, and give you a raw, adrenaline fuelled experience from the moment you walk in the door. There are no superfluous and tedious safety lectures, no primary school tones. The system has been fine-tuned to perfection so you can just hop in and do a three-metre ramp-to-ramp jump without breaking a sweat. Or if 360's are more your thing, you can do that, too. Or how about the old 180-handbrake box parallel park? Or the absolute pinnacle of stunt driving; driving on two wheels? Yep, this school has got it all."
CarsGuide Video "Just awesome, I'm still buzzing from the jump"
Also seen in
FHM Magazine "The Stunt Driving Experience is a blast"
Unique Cars Magazine "Driving Instructor Kevin Flynn, has put together an automotive stunt experience that gives ordinary folks the opportunity to experience some of the amazing daredevil antics made famous in The Dukes of Hazzard and countless other movies and television shows"
Cars Guide Website "The no-nonsense approach that Driver Dynamics holds is refreshing and lets you get stuck in to the exciting, hands-on aspects of the course, with minimal theory. Kevin Flynn and his team are consummate professionals, giving you peace of mind, allowing you to relax and enjoy the day."
Ok here's the deal, we normally charge $259.00 per driver to do this course in Sydney, but we're offering it for $199.00 per driver to forum members.
*Note this course runs for three hours, we run a morning and afternoon session.
Morning session runs from 9.00am until 12.00pm , afternoon runs from 1.00pm until 4.00pm
If you'd like to come along, or know someone who would, please do not send me a PM, email me driverdynamics@optusnet.com.au or call me 0413 540 197

All you need to know about the day. It was great fun, relieving the tension before the exam.

I tried to get some 'non-car' friends along. Anybody would think we've just signed up for a suicide bombing mission the way some of them carried on. One even trotted out the "Don't you have children to worry about " line!!!
Heaven protect me from getting old and boring!

I did this today with Len and Otto.
Great weather for it and was fun to do this stuff in someone else's car! Wheels mag had some people there taking video footage, etc and there'll be a story on the Wheels website in a few days. Varied crowd with quite a few girls having a go - good to see.
Overall, I thought it was good fun. A mild criticism would be that you spent quite a while waiting for your turn at each exercise, which then seemed to be over before you knew it. Obviously a function of the group size and for the cheap price I suppose you can't complain. Still, I would have preferred to have a few more goes at stuff like the 360 spins and the handbrake 180 'park' because slow learners like me were often just getting it right on the 3rd attempt when it was time to hand over to someone else.
I found I was battling against braking instincts, hahaha. In the 360 spins I started off not stomping the brake pedal hard enough because I'm used to modulating the braking force so you don't spin . Then in the handbrake 180, I was jumping on the foot brake too early in the spin, having learnt through bitter experience what can happen on the track when you don't jump on them early enough!! ;-)) It was kinda like having to forget good habits to make the car do what you wanted it to.
Two wheeling was a great experience and definitely not something many would have tried. Wow, they go through tyres though! There were a few loud bangs, which no doubt scared crap out of the passengers at the time, lol. No wonder their support crew were so quick at changing tyres...
The ramp jumping actually felt pretty tame but I suppose they work pretty hard at not making it too exciting for safety reasons, which is fair enough. There's very little sensation of jumping - more like just going over a decent sized speed hump without the crashy feeling. Still, nice to be able to say you've jumped a car from a ramp to another ramp I guess.
There was a bloke from P1 there with a Lotus Exige. He was talking it up as a good way to experience sports cars without the hassle of depreciation, etc. I'm still not convinced they've got the value equation right but it's an interesting concept, especially if you only use your car occasionally rather than every day.
Thanks again to Kev and his friendly team for a good day out (and the discounted pricing). I recommend you give it a go if you get the chance...

I released the throttle just a tad too late on the first attempt but the second was just right - I even got a well done and a hand shake from an obviously relieved instructor, hahahaha.
However, anyone in the market for a second hand Echo Sportivo in a year or so would do well to avoid anything blue from Victoria, lol.
