Sunroof in the RX8
Hello Fellow RX8 owners,
Just wondering on peoples thoughts on getting a sunroof fitted into a RX8.
I am a few weeks away from getting one put in by a Melbourne company called Prestige Sunroofs. The model of sunroof is the Stratos 300M, cost is $1595.00
Just wondering if anyone has fitted one or knows of anyone who has fitted one into their RX8. Please give me your thoughts on it.
Kind Regards,
MrRx8_R

Was told by a dealer that Mazda dont offer sunroofs in Aust cars as it weakens the structure too much due to lack of B-pillars (I know they are offered o/s but maybe its a Aust compliance thing)

In the US, we really don't have an option of NOT getting the Sunroof, but all the other goodies... so either we get it, or we don't.
I heard Leather isn't a package for other countries as well... hmm.. if I had a choice I wouldn't want the leather seat, but kept everything else. Heated seats is pretty useless here in So California when it's burning hot outside even at night.

I drove a US RX-8 with "roof" and my personal feeling is it took up too much headroom. I am 186cm (~6'1") and when I have a helmet on I have to adjust my seat. With a 'roof it would be imposible.
Cheers,
Hymee.
